International break

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

1-0 Ireland. Hamid and Besler far too slow but that's a magic ball from McGoldrick.

Never thought that I would actually be surprised at how shit Scotland were.

Fair play to Hodgson though, spot on tactically. I mean England should be coasting past Scotland either way but right from the start England were coaxing Scotland into playing backwards and then pressing really hard. Nicked the ball in good areas a few times and completely stopped Scotland from playing and shut the crowd up.

Another 2 tap-ins for Rooney on the way to being England's all-time greatest player :barscarf:

i saw that - i also saw the comment to Jack from Gary Neville at the weekend - "you do know you can pass long sometimes too, don't you ? . this is not five a side..." which apparently had Jack cracked up with the giggles....

big dilemma for wonga now - does he play an injured welbeck with sanogo up front on saturday, or play sanchez and sanogo upfront ?

sorry, i meant big dilemma for wonga on Friday. obviously, he's not thinking about us right now, no he's just finished the france v sweden friendly on BeIN1 and now he's counting his money probably.

Generally is agree but personally I enjoyed the Wales game far more than I enjoyed any of our games this year; with the exception of the Villa game and only because I went to that one.

Welbeck confirmed as a strain? Looked more like a cramp.

In the year of our worst ever World Cup finals performance......and in the year of the so called renaissance of Scottish football....it's reassuring to know that our desperate worst is still infinitely better than all your hope value

superspurs says 18/11/14 10:55pm

So depressing it makes my cry that Arsenal have such great English players and even Clyne is better than Walker. We just have a bunch of flops. At club and international level we will forever be in the shadows of our mighty North London rivals and they will always be the biggest club in London.

From Sky Sports ...now that is funny...

Yep - we won't have to hear about the supposed rebirth of a golden era of Scottish football for a good few months now
