Olympiakos Away Match Day 6

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Honestly do not care enough either way to have a strong view on whether I would rather see us go through. Managed to make other plans so thankfully will not have to watch this.

Not particularly enthusiastic about watching our strongest side get bumholed against a good side in the CL. Equally not that keen on watching the kids and also-rans get dismantled against a decent side in the last 16 of the Europa.

It won't "increase the pressure on Wenger" in any meaningful way, it won't "hit Kronke in the pocket" to the extent that he reconsiders anything. We will have the same greedy absent owner and the same greedy clueless blinded manager this time next year.

wouldn't it be better to scrape through, then follow it up with a quick swift L16 departure at the hands of Barcelona, meaning that we can, erm, 'focus' on the league campaign.

Or a slow drawn out death in the quarters of the Europa??

Looks like the last 16 drubbing is very much on the cards again - citeeh topping their group means that there is one less group winner that we can face, and that increases the odds of getting drawn against barca or real Madrid

Don't really know where I stand, I'd love the Europa League for the novelty factor and a belter away trip but can't bring myself to give up just yet. Win tomorrow by two and the cup with the big ears is ours in May... maybe

On the eve of our greatest ever achievement? Are you fucking shitting me!

Nope, I won't sleep a wink tonight, the nervous excitement is absolutely killing me. Tomorrow night is the type of night we bulldozed Highbury for, slogging it out at European football's top table against the big guns. Nick Hornby is gonna have to pen a new book because tomorrow night is going to piss all over Anfield '89.

Right I'm off to laminate the entire sitting room to prevent any damage from my "spillages". :barscarf:

Can see us winning 3-2 and going through.

Wenger fails to win by two goals, yet manages to blag his way into the next round regardless.

True, but courtesy of the Mancs we could get Wolsburg.
