As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm nervous, but fancy us and tbh with all the chances created on Tuesday think we'll give someone a hiding soon. 0-3 The Gunners Sanchez brace and Giroud
This team will start performing like champions as soon as the title is out of reach. Then the real aim of a top 4 finish will be 'achieved' . It says it all about the mentality of the club, that Wenger referenced the 'accomplishment' of qualifying from the group stages of the CL so many seasons in a row. Apparently being better than Olympiakos is something to be proud of. I wonder will we hear him reference his accomplishments in the CL when Barca send us out in the last 16 for the 6th season in a row.
This is so true and has been for a while. I remember in the early noughties when United won the title as we faltered and stuttered to hand it to them. After we'd lost it, we thrashed Southampton 6-1 or something similar. A pundit and I can't remember which one, said he would be livid if he was and Arsenal fan, that they couldn't perform like that when it mattered. Nothing has changed.
We did of course have the blip of the invincibles year...
A top manager would not let the rot continue as long as Wenger. At the first sign of complacency or the team looking jaded, he should ring the changes and drop certain players. Flamini has been poor and ill-disciplined for the past month, so why hasnt he been hooked? A complete failure to keep the players on their toes. Another is Alex Iwobi - his energy and commitment is electric and should play ahead of Walcott and Chamberlain.
However with Wenger, he 'keeps the faith', which in other words, means if persists with his original idea until it works. We always play the same formation, never make tactical subs at half time, and never play two upfront.
It's less about the table right now and more about performances. The last five games, for different reasons, have all been rubbish, whether its a lack of killer instinct upfront, inability to create proper chances, or sloppiness in defence.
The only thing that suggests we are capable of winning this league currently is our league position, although Leicester 8 clear, albeit with a game more, puts even that under the spotlight. Suggesting that this team with these players playing how they are can pip Leicester to the title is an insult to Leicester.
Bournemouth tomorrow is last chance saloon. We need not just a win but a comfortable win to suggest that this team has got what it takes. Won't hold my breath.

Don't worry Cas we have "Theo" with his pace, skills and amazing footballing brain...

Pressure is all on them. They're letting a golden opportunity to win the league for the first time in yonks slip away, and might well end up having Leicester finish above them. They're even below Spurs now on goal difference. It's absolutely must win for them.
I bet Howe will have Wenkers non tactics sussed at least enough for them to claim a draw,we are dog shit,by the time we have played Leicester we could be 11 points behind them but then again its been the same shit for years now,im kind of hoping this could be the beginning of the collapse,im sick to death of non Arsenal supporters wondering why we moan,i get told all the time Wenkers a great mananger and that we should be grateful for all these years of CL football, never mind we are a million miles away from winning it,imsick to the back fucking teeth and in all honesty couldn't give a toss if Bournemouth win tomorrow, they are my nearest team anyhow

Lol, I used to live in the same Rd as their stadium is in. Back when they were in the Johnsons paint league or whatever...... Their meteoric rise...... our meteoric, stumbling, bumbling, excuse laden
...
Even with the dire results of the last month. This is still a game to get back into the race, as well as an opportunity to lead into our home game against Leicester the next week with it all to play for. If we win against Bournemouth and Leicester then we could count ourselves favorites. Especially when Spurs and City also play next week.
I still feel City are the team to stay ahead of. Tottenham and Leicester are like spiders - they are more scared of us, than we are of them.
However, if we dont win both matches, it will be 5-6 games of successive failure to take an opportunity. There is only so many times you can be given a lifeline.
And if we dont win both matches, then there will be nowhere for Wenger or the players to hide hide.
Wenger has to win the league this year, his little bit of remaining credibility depends on it.

I cant think of one reason whatsoever why Spurs and Leicester would be scared of us, they are both the form teams, we are shit, I doubt we will get anything at the shithole, our record there is shit, there is no way in the world we will win the league whilst the *word censored* Wenger remains in charge
