Mental strength is sooo last season. We have shifted gears, it's mental purity now. Try keep up

I do apologise. The crafty old goat threw me off with all of these "expected" goals I've been enjoying! :dancingbanana: :duh:

Dunno about winning this one - the shammers are playing very well this season (especially at home) and the tight pitch wont suit the likes of ozil and sanchez. They have a few big fu.ckers and the sneaky dirty noble in midfield, so we can expect a game full of petty fouling when we have the ball which will slow us down.
Of course it could also turn out to be similar to the everton game where most of us expected a really tough game, only to then see us score early and dominate afterwards

No pressure on our gutless wonders so I reckon it'll be a win. If we still had a shot at the title? We'd lose 2-0.

Is the banner going to make another appearance, seems to when we have an away game. This one is on BT, so Ian Wright will talk shit about disrespecting the manager again.

whats the situation about bringing the banner into the Emirates?
the Arsenal stewards being booed whilst trying to confiscate it would make for good headlines in the media.

There would be chaos - punch ups and bans I'd imagine.

When the idea of the banner first started on here it was felt home games would be unsuitable as it gave the upper hand to the oppo fans to take the piss. I agreed with that at the time, but tbh maybe we need to take that on the chin and just show the banner(s) at every game? But then that's easy for me to say as I won't be there doing it as I'm boycotting games until Wenger is gone.

There is nothing more saying than your own ground turning against you. It would weigh much more happening at the Emirates. And frankly, that's what all other fans of clubs in Europe do when it's time for the manager to go. It creates a nasty atmosphere, and that's what's needed. Unfortunately we have a big split among our fans which is to be honest unbelievable, who doesn't want the team to perform at top level rather than having an old geezer of a mascot waving cluelessly on the sideline while contemptuously taking credit for your entire history as a club?

Spot on :banghead:

I do hope that no WOBs here actually allow themselves to hope that we might yet fluke the title. If the team thought they could win it, they would bottle it.

I do hope so! The banner should be mandatory at every away game :barscarf:

Unfortunately the Stasi at Cashburton will be ever vigilant of preventing any criticism of Big Brother. There is also the fact that the AKB fundamentalists in the bowl will physically attack them, which is a fucking disgrace in itself.

It really is a shame that we cannot do that Spanish waving-the-hanky thing. It would make things so much easier in forcing The Old Fraud out and letting the board know what the supporters think of him and his numerous failures and humiliations since 2008.

It does seem that the AKB and the Stasi have Cashurton locked down. There will never be a revolt against TOF and the board there :banghead:

John Dickinson?? Apologies if I haven't spelt John's name properly. I think about him often because I was at that match - 1 May 1982. It was horrible and what happened to John could've been me.

I was right in the middle of the North Bank and the atmosphere pre kick off was all wrong. As the teams came out some chav standing literally right next to me shouted "United". I remember thinking "Why's he shouting United when we're playing West Ham?" and as I was thinking that - WHACK. I got punched right in the side of the head and then it all kicked off. I was only just 17 so didnt have a clue what was going on. I lost my glasses (pre laser surgery) and spent the entire match squinting.

The rest of the day was fukin awful with fights everywhere. I remember some lads laying a wreath for John on the centre circle at the next home match - that was a moment that is seared into my memory.

Good old days?? No - the early 80s were shit.

Back in those days I was already in Aus & things were so much safer over here. The early 70's were bad too. My respects to John as well, but my memories of the old 'Ammers' ground was great football of the 60's.
This weeks game ? 1-1. Pity, I would love a 2-0 to us. Just don't mess with the starting line-up. Feo & the Lazy Frenchman to stay on the bench. :barscarf: :barscarf:
