This weekend's matches

It's a shame we're reduced to celebrating N17 only getting a point but I was preparing to visit a hypnotist to remove all memories of this season then emigrating to Outer Mongolia to live like a hermit in a cave. Thankfully that possibility now looks extremely unlikely and I can continue reminding my spud mates that they have still been champions fewer times than Huddersfield. One more win Leicester, come on!!

The sun is shining this morning as befits the day after the apocalypse was avoided.

They have a lot more to be proud of than us this season, but whilst us passing this chance was disgraceful then we will be up there again once Wenger shuffles off his perch. Basically because we are too big a club with too much money.

Spurs won't get another chance like this for donkeys years. No CL football and exiting cups early has allowed Lloris Kane Alli Alderweireld Eriksen and Dier to start nearly every PL game. They won't be able to attract anything like top players despite CL football, they will have some burnout and get figured out somewhat next year and Levy will press the panic button when Kane and co bang on his door asking for huge deals after a decent euros.

There is a reason why the top 4 is so consistent, why nobody has broken into it and why none of the big boys drop out for more than a season - resources and to a lesser extent stature. The odds are stacked in favour of the big boys and I don't care how many good young players Leicester and Spurs have - they will struggle next year as smaller clubs always do when they overachieve with European qualification and have their prize assets stripped this summer or next.

I have argued this very point for months - yes it was our best chances for years ( :blah: :blah: ) but when you havent won a league for 55 years like them, then this was a golden chance that they are never likely to get again. They have been allowed slip along in the shadows with nobody really talking about them until very recently, when really they should have been highlighted a lot more and asked if this season was going to end that looooong barren run. Obviously if they had of won the league then it wouldnt be the fairytale story that leicester would have been, but it still would have been a league won by one of the "lesser teams" who have not got the resources that some of their rivals have, and that would have made good press for the meeja

yes indeed to both augie and northbank. people will say they will be even stronger next year and this is the start of them moving into broad sunlit uplands. I say bollox.

the league has been incredibly weak this year, all the big clubs shooting themselves in the foot for various reasons, they are good but nothing special. they have been ridiculously lucky with injuries and fatigue, and have a stadium they are struggling to fund, pay peanuts in wages, so wont attract big players regardless of CL football, plus all their current ones will want big pay rises. This and they could be asset stripped. they will sign the likes of the Korean or njie again and have a competent manager but that's it. the 'big 5' plus everton will strengthen big time and the shammers are a coming force too, so this really was it for the scum. never again in the short to medium term should they have such an opportunity again unless the big clubs do another collective mass suicide as they did this year.

yes I know we are still crap and below them but there is one reason for that and he wont be here forever. as soon as he's gone even with wiggy still here, a semi competent manager would have us actually using tactics, studying oppo etc. which would improve us big time regardless of personnel changes.

as for baba's example of reus choosing us or them well we have history and heritage of being a big club they don't have that or any proof that this isn't a flash in the pain.

i'm sure the seemingly many closet scum on here will come and refute this though...

Hate to put a damper on it all, and last night was great and all, but Leicester still have work to do. United won't be easy. I'm just hoping Chelsea take points of scum to make it safe that they don't win the league.

What do Leicester need, three points?

Even if they get humped by Utd (not certain by any means) they'd still be red-hot favourites.

I knew they would not win it. They are vermin. They will not get near the title next year as the big clubs will all strengthen this summer (bar us, of course). But I am concerned they will be better than us again next season. But ONLY because under Wenger we will regress even further. I can see both us and the vermin scrapping for 5th and 6th place tbh. :|
