LEICESTER AWAY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Since it's Leicester, I have to post this. He's almost as clueless as his hero:

This guy, really is on par with the muppets he interviews on that channel. I seen on Sunday, he was telling Wenger outs, that we cant base anything on one game. This, after a decade of failure, and a mountain of evidence that the manager should be gone. AKB'S seem happy to use one game, in order to justify the manager, as long as we win. If we happen to lose, then its only one game. I hope muppets like this, fuck off with Wenger, whenever he goes.

Will be interesting to see if the AKB give Vardy dog's abuse for having the temerity to turn down their Lord and Master... :rubchin:

Cue a resounding chorus of "BOOOOO!" every time he touches the ball...

Last season I was very confident we'd beat them home and away, but I'm afraid there isn't an away game anywhere in the PL I would back us to win with Holding and Chambers paired at centre half......so at best we escape with a score draw but I'm more inclined to go for a 2-1 defeat

The plus is that Mr Twirly is out for 2 weeks so he might just be forced to pick round pegs for round holes in midfield this time.

Advice to Mahrez & co - just shoot from distance. It will be Monday morning before the Plank gets down to the shot

Koscielny will be back for this one....but even so still predict a 1-0 or 2-1 defeat

Hoping for a Leicester win ... IF finishing outside the top 4 on the last year of his contract is enough for him to go then I fucking welcome it.

I might just get through this season if it is his last.

He signs an extension for a minute longer than his current contract then I'm finished with Arsenal for the time being :(

Not being treated like a fucking mug any longer!

Koscielny to join the long queue by limping off clutching his hamstring or lower back in the first 30 mins

I think for a lot of fans, Wenger has ruined supporting the club, or at the very least, ruined the passion many had for the club. There was a time when I couldn't miss a game, I always wanted to see us play, but now, it wont bother me too much, if I miss a game. I also went over a good few times to games every season, but cant be arsed anymore. The idea of sitting in that soulless bowl, with a bunch of tourists, and them smiling and taking pictures, after we have conceded a goal, just angers me. God forbid, anyone at the game, shows a bit of passion, they will be stared at, like they are from another planet. The modern day version of this club, is not what I grew up supporting.

Vardy and/or Mahrez to score in a Leicester win has to be a banker this weekend surely

I think you are spot on. I sell my ticket for most home games (so thanks to the tourists for that) for the same reasons and go to a lot more aways instead.
Not only is it usually a good day out win or lose but you are amongst genuine supporters (apologies to those same supporters who can't go to away games but you get my meaning).

Exactly lads!

From a personal point of view as I am only 20 years old this is the only Arsenal I have witnessed first-hand.

My dad has been a Gooner for 53 years so he has educated me on the history of this great club so I know what Arsenal are and always have been and what is going on just now just isn’t Arsenal. We only first started going to games when the emirates was built as only then could we get tickets. In 2006 it was all new to me and I was only 10 so I didn’t take much notice of anything other than seeing my favourite players Henry , Fabregas etc. playing in the flesh.

Nowadays I simply don’t want to travel hundreds of miles down to London to watch the shower of shit we are offered year in year out … paying north of £250 to do so.

I feel absolutely no connection with most of the fans down there anymore and If I went I’d only be shouting drunk Wenger out chants and end up in trouble so all in all not worth it.

We now just stick to the closer away games such as Sunderland , Newcastle and this year Middlesbrough … better laugh at away games and not as many Wenger lovers in general.
