This, all day long. Trying to take another sides previous shit performances and thinking it will matter when we play them, is pointless. Apart from the loss to Chelsea this season, every other shit performance against the top sides, has come when they were in a bad run of form. We drew with Spurs and Man United, when neither could buy a positive result, and in the united game, we deserved sweet Fuck all from that game. Against City, we again lost to a side that was struggling for a win. It's not just the top sides that we provide assists to. We lost to both Everton and Watford after both sides had been doing shit up to that point. Also, when is the last time we have beaten a big side away from home? City away is the only one I can remember in the last few years.

Agree with everything that's being said and a loss would give the protest more impetus....so of course you know what will happen don't you?? The man has the luck of the devil.

Reckon the victims will be at least 2/3 goals up by HT,any worthwhile manager who's team were playing Liverpool in their next match, would have been at last nights match ,to formulate some kind of plan or tactics (I know  ) in how to play Liverpool but not our genius.

This 100%. Put your house on it. Another second half comeback to snatch a draw a la Bournemouth is another possibility :banghead:

They're hugely hit and miss and lack real quality all over the pitch. Been the same for years. But you could count the number of times that they have turned up and rolled over in a big home game in the last decade on one hand.

They do move the ball quickly and when they do start stringing some decent play together their fans will make a racket and it will be a test of resolve. Which we haven't coped with in the past. In fairly recent times we have completely crumbled and chucked away games in the CL quarters in 08, the 4-4 game and most recently last year where we conceded the most basic goal to throw away two points which we had actually worked hard for.

We played really well for long periods of last seasons game on a truly awful night of wind and rain.
Giroud worked his nuts off and was brilliant but inexplicably we just backed off and defended way too deep in the last mins and they scored.

Inexplicably?? No just they type of idiot thing we do so very often. Have Barca, or any top team at home in the 1st leg of the CL KO's at 0-0 and instead of being happy with that and just look to get that one away goal in the 2nd leg, we go bombing forward and quickly concede 2 goals and it's CL over. We do crazy, stupid stuff like that all the time.

That's what happens when your manager is not pragmatic and has no tactical savvy. :|
