Oh good, Xhaka's back....said no one EVER!!!

Spurs and Utd imploding, leaving the door wide open for us........perfectly set up for stumbling, stuttering, panic stricken failure. This is what modern day Arsenal perceives as MASSIVE pressure, walking through an open door.

Play Martinelli down the centre for the rest of the season and let's see how he does.
You know, while I think it's worth a try, I don't know if I see Martinelli being a natural goal scorer. Sure, he can certainly score goals - and some beauties - but I don't see him being a 20+ PL goals per season man, year after year, like Wrighty or Henry or Aubamewingie. I see him a bit more in the creative goal scorer mode, slightly similar to a Bergkamp maybe. And I don't mean as a Number 10. I mean just as a goal scorer. Dennis wouldn't get you 20+ PL goals every season but he'd create alot of goals and score some absolutely amazing goals. That's kind of the way I (currently) see Martinelli tbh.

But at this stage we have nothing to lose trying him down the middle. So why not!

But can I see Martinez-Lite doing something so innovative and left field? Can I fuck.
I view Martinelli as the total opposite to Bergkamp. When Berkgamp received the ball he looked up. When Martinelli gets the ball he wants to run forward and take his man on.

In modern football you dont need to be a centre forward to get goals, there is more space outwide and players like Salah like to use that space to cut in.

I think Martinelli can play down the middle, & I would play him down the middle which would allow ESR to play on the right and Saka go to his preferred left. This way Lacazette gets dropped for ESR and we have better players on the field.
Whooosh....

I said he's not like Bergkamp in style, but is the type of player that will score great goals but won't hit 20+ PL goals per season. Like Bergkamp. Like Merson. Quality over quantity.

Xhaka back. Like fucking polio, leprosy and whaling; it never ceases to amaze me that he hasn't been got rid of yet.
Fucks sake. :censored: What will it be tonight? Stupid penno conceded.? Stupid red card? Stupid own goal? Stupid unforced error leading directly to their winner? All of the above?

TBF, he doesn't really score own goals.....he never gets back deep enough into our own box. He's normally at the edge of the big box when the opposition score.

Having had a long extended break I fully expect our players to come flying out of the traps and straight away put wolves on the back foot. The swiss turd will dominate midfield cos that is usually the way when he comes back from his latest fcuk ups  Where it could go all tits up is in front of goal - if we score early we could get 3 or 4, but if we dont score early it could be one of those nights where we couldnt hit an elephants arse with a banjo

What the fuck are you smoking? The Clive cùnt has never dominated midfield. Ever. His best day is two passes landing where they were intended and no major fuck ups. And that is maybe one game in 5 or 6.

Can anyone explain to me why for about 125 years or whatever, professional footballers could walk or run onto a pitch to play a match without needing to wear a tracksuit top but for the last five years, it's been impossible to do so? Is there something about standing in a line that requires a multimillionaire to wear a thin nylon zip-up top?

Why is Clive wandering around so far forward? He's not pressing anyone, just wandering around leaving acres of space behind him ffs.

To sell the warm tops in the shops to fans like that moron on AFC TV that dresses from head to toe in merchandise.
