As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
The Forum needs to be made into a "Closed Shop" (union term there I know but anyway).
About 2(?) Months ago I made a 'Throwaway' Comment about Arteta etc... Not Nasty, just expressing an opinion about his ineptness when it came to Tactics & In-Game Management etc The next thing I know is my comment had been 'highlighted' via the a link to the form (so it could easily have been by someone not a Member or 'Logged In' to the Forum but a "Guest").
More often it has happened of late that the times I have come on here and there have been 100+ "Guests"... and it is often during those occasions when the Server or whatever the fuck the Forum is hosted by / in starts running... Sorry Dawdling & Stumbling Slower than Denilson on a bad day....(or as Augie might say Simon Hooper on a Bad day)
Most of those of us who enjoy coming on this Forum are part of the Old Skool ( Not All I hasten to add and neither should it ever be!). But if the Owner/s were to Charge a (Relatively) Small Registration / Subscription Fee Per Annum, which means Forum Membership gives them access to all parts of the Forum (*), BUT Behind Closed Doors, so that all the Looky Looky "Guests" who come to Look and See what's happening etc, will No Longer Be able to Do So Unless they are Registered members and Stump Up the Required Registration Fee.
The Amount needn't be Massive... Just a means by which to keep the Forum Going Without the Ongoing Problems AND a Bit of Privacy.
That way there are no Guests or Bots to slow the forum down, also those members get to continue sharing their Opinions & Views,; so that the Pervy Sneaky Looky Lookies don't get to get the Forums News/ Discussions & Opinions for Free.
(*) We could even have a 'Live' Discussion place, where Immediate/Live Frank Opinions could be had, with out Non-Mebers being able to access it.
For me a Win-Win way forward: The Forum is Financially Supported and then a better/Quicker Forum etc

Up to 236 guests as I write.
No wonder it's slower than Jordan trying to work out 2+2

The problem with that is once you charge a fee and someone acts the cùnt, and you ban them, they can then tie you up in legal hassle for alleged breach of agreement. Even if you have an iron clad set of rules that they agree to be bound by, they can make your life a misery for months on end. They won't win, but it will still take months of hassle to sort out. And if they have even a little legal "know-how", it will cost you a fortune too.
