PROTEST At Reading Game! - ARRIVE 30 MINS AFTER KICK OFF!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If someone had said at the start of the season, you'll finish 3rd, i'd say yes please.

But it's not that simple is it ?

The original post was wrong. But he's no less of an Arsenal Supporter than you or I for saying it.

We have spectacularly imploded in a way I have never seen before - I go back to 1967 - and whilst we have often never risen so high, we've never quite collapsed in this manner.

We need to see why we have ; and try to remedy the deficiencies to ensure we don't do so next season.

We should have acted in August for a Winger and a Centre Back. We or rather - Wenger - did not. We - or rather Wenger - axed Diara in January and still declined to strengthened a clearly weakend squad.

WHOSE FAULT IS THAT ?

Yours ?

Mine ??

Or Wengers ?

This season is shot. But we desperately need to see the shortcomings and act accordingly. I still want to believe in Wenger and desperately hope we rise to the challenge next August.

But if he responds to this season like he responded to the last, it won't be the fault of any poster on this or any other Board when we fail.

WASN'T THE 2002/3 COLLAPSE WORSE? WE WERE BY FAR THE BEST SIDE THAT SEASON AND PLAYED WHAT I BELIEVE HAS BEEN THE BEST FOOTBALL EVER UNDER WENGER. YET WE THREW AWAY AS BIG (IF NOT BIGGER?) A LEAD AND WE DIDN'T HAVE THE EXCUSE THAT YEAR OF HAVING AN INEXPERIENCED TEAM.

All this fucking whingeing is getting on my tits.

Start of the season, we were no-hopers. Fifth place hopefuls. Spurs were going to be above us in the league.

We actually came very close to winning the two major competitions.

We have had shit luck since Birmingham. And we really, really deserved to win something. We have played some of the best football you will see anywhere.

Now, all of the sudden, we are shit.

What total bollocks.

Be grateful that we have a fantastic team, manager, stadium and fanbase.

And stop fucking whingeing.

Oh, don't be such an old git!

In all seriousness, I've been whingeing all season, does that mean I can carry on? I'm for a fair weather whinger!

What a facking twat you are kipmonster

(T.S. - this part of the post has been deleted because Gooner92 took the keyboard bullying a bit too far. What is it with certain members of this forum and their OTT aggressive posts? Do you really think you're impressing anyone?)

Quality Wayno. 8)

I got away with calling my 4 year old daughter Alex (just try finding an Arsenal related girl's name :? ) and my 3 year old son Jack!! The missus still has no idea... :P

Further to Kipmonster's idea; No.

I was in Paris for our CL robbery at the hands of the BarcaWhore fan referee (and THBW14's ability to bottle big finals) and we sang long and proud into the early hours of the following morning. I was so proud to be a Gooner that night. That's what we do when the f*cking chips are down. We do not spit our dummy out of the pram. 8)

With a reference to Alex James or Alexander Hleb? Please don't let it be the latter

Kipmonster, have a bit of patience. We are not a small club on a verge of relegation (ie Bolton), to be protesting about our board and manager. You might be frustrated but so are many others. Remember where we'd be without the current board and Arsene. Still in Highbury, playing boring football (and without trophies!) and probably North London's second club

Damn that is even more worse!

And Kipmonster, I forgot to add this. Why would you protest? Would you achieve anything? Except a few looks onto you. Will Arsene hear the protest and think "Well, I will now spend"? No. Change comes naturally. We can't force Arsene to spend, no matter how much we want. Everyone has their opinions but going to protest against a man like Wenger is taking it too far.

Ha!

No, it is the former, Alexander Wilson James, a true legend. I also had to find a name the missus wouldn't spot too easily. So Rocky, Chippy, Thierry and Sol were all out of the equation.

My boy Jack is named for David Bone Nightingale Jack (his real full name!!) In years to come, my Jack will thank me for not giving him the full name!! :P

...or calling him McGoldrick Kelly.

Its easy to sit here and say, we should buy someone. But its not that simple. The top players all have teams, teams reluctant to sell. And I'd rather we didnt pay way over the odds for a player like man u or chelsea.

The second point, Diarra.
Diarra said he should either play, or be sold cos he's too good for the bench.
he's no where near as good as Cesc or Flamini, so he was going to be on the bench, unhappy and start kicking up a fuss.
