I doesn't sound like something we'd do to be honest, more like its been twisted to leave out our asking price of £35/36mil and made to sound like we're desparate. Just can't see us writing to a club and just offering one of our players.....

I hope you are right but a big name signing would totally go against everything he has done recently. My concern is that he would bring nobody in at all and would say that with Vela here we have the same number of strikers as last season.

Ade out, Huntlaar in within the next week and the 10 million surplus goes into the Clubs coffers rather than on bolstering squad - that;s my guess

That should get Barca to pull their finger out.

On top of the worry that we will only spend half of ade's transfer fee for a replacement we now see this morning that the scouse *word censored* are going after david villa - benitez has admitted it will be hard to get him but he is a player they want. This is what gets on my tits - all these clubs are being very pro-active in the transfer market by going after upgrades on their existing players where as we buy only if a player goes :?

Anyway thats for another day so for now can we just focus on selling ade for as much money as possible and as quick as possible 8)

if you have 3 good enough keepers, you don't go around looking for a 4th unless one goes or someone like Buffon is on the market. If you have 4 very good strikers with youngsters like Vela and Walcott able to act as 5th and 6th choice strikers, you don't go looking for another striker unless...

Instead you go to seal up the weak points.

As for Liverpool and Villa, considering they are struggling to pay for Barry, I think that still seems a pipe dream. Depends what Crouch and one or two others bring in I suppose for them

Havent posted on forum for a while and this Adebay-moneywhore thing has pissed me off so much I have to vent my frustrations…Here goes….

First off I’ve never really warmed to the guy, he comes across as very very cocky, and did from the start….which wasn’t justified by his performances….which brings me to his performances on the pitch….

The ONLY thing I like about him is when he scores, and I do give him massive credit for the goals last year…BUT….apart from these he didn’t do much else, he doesn’t really contribute that much to the team, I’m sure many (not all) will agree that he had a lots of really bad games last season and his goals dried up when it really mattered…..In other words he’s no Henry/Bergkamp/Wright….BUT HE BLOODY THINKS HE IS!!!.....This brings me to his attitude….

Some of this maybe down to us in some way with the “he gets the ball and he will score songâ€

Would you like to name the 4 very good strikers for me magic ? Are you talking about an injury prone van persie ? Maybe eduardo who hasnt played with us long enough to prove he can do it at this level because of that serious injury that we still cant be sure he will recover fully from or how soon ? After that you are down to bedtner who I am still not convinced about but I will cut him more slack than most on here. But to play and compete at our level you need more proven quality than what I have listed there surely ?

PS It may not be a case of the scousers struggling to pay for barry but more due to the fact that, like many of us, they dont rate him as an £18m player

Ade of course (if he is sold then he is replaced to make it back to 4 again), Van Persie is brilliant when fit, surely his bad luck must change and Dudu was injured after January, Arsene will want to give him a chance to prove himself again. Mentally he is tough and his game hasn't been about pace so hopefully he won't be badly affected. For a 4th choice striker, Bentender is a good choice

This is a better quartet then Chelsea, Man U or Liverpool's. As for the Barry deal, O'Niel has a point that if the players Barry has usupred are worth £18 million, so is Barry. Liverpool have money problems, they have to sell to buy and that £8 million fullback plus Barry will take up their transfer budget. Oh and the young guys they got
