Agree 100% with G88ner.
Thing is too, that there are so many things we can laugh at Spurs about.
Then having a lot of Jewish fans does not come into from my point of view, simply because who cares what ethnicity their fans or any team's fans are!
Arsenal also have a heck of a lot of Jewish fans too, plus a Jewish director.
Spurs are basically a very poor rival to us, so much we can laugh at;
They have only ever won the league twice,
They have never played in the Champions League,
We have won three doubles to their one,
They have never won the domestic cup double,
The last time they won the league, tv was in black and white, currency had yet to be decimalised, man had not landed on the moon and the Jubilee Line did not exist!

Yes Nasri is a Muslim, he did Muslim prayers on the pitch at half time on Saturday. So he would be circumcised too.xDAVEYx wrote:that bit's goodWembley Gooner wrote:Nasri, Wherever you may be,

isnt nasri a muslim? which would mean that he himself is circumcised and so would any children he might have...
just a thought
If people had read and respected the thread they would hopefully have refrained from supporting that song.

I can't be arsed arguing with another person about this so I'll say one thing and then I'm not responding anymore. It doesn't matter whether you rob the bank of England or steal a penny from a dead tramp. It's still wrong! There is so much we can throw at our rivals, why lower ourselves to their level in doing so, there's no need. Regardless on anyones views on the subject no single person can argue with any degree of intelligence that a chant that has a racist, sexist, homophobic etc etc. slant has any place in modern society. We all have things that we feel strongly about and would be offended by if somebody shouted them at us. If you don't want to be on the receiving end of such garbage then don't indulge in giving it out.tinpot lane wrote:Yes but G88ner made a ridiculous comparison, between the foreskin song, and chanting monkey noises. It really is that simple. And for those who say that nothing anybody would say to them wouldn't offend them, bullshit. Everybody has something that is guaranteed to piss them off, even brain dead morons.
Lets leave it all in the 1980's where it belongs.
Just saw this thread..tinpot lane wrote:Yes but G88ner made a ridiculous comparison, between the foreskin song, and chanting monkey noises. The extent of racism between the two chants are huge.SPUDMASHER wrote:Here we go again![]()

What's so ridiculous with that comparison? Can you explain why racism against black people is any different than racism against jews?
Crocit, you're not even worth anyone's commenting. The Chance of you being older than 17 is slimmer than the chance eboue will win the golden boot this season. You don't know what you're talking about, and you attack QuarzGooner personally, because you can't really answer his questions and arguments.
Spuddy, I think this topic needs to be discussed. If we won't, than the people who sing these songs will never stop posting them on this forum. I'm sure non of us is trying to change the world, just put some sense in these people. Here we go again
I'm ashamed of the supporters that sing these kind of songs, and It's just amazing to me how some of the guys around here think it's fine and normal to sing these songs.

I watched it. What point are you trying to make?tinpot lane wrote:Quartz check this video out at 1 minute

That I should go to the Rocket and start having a go at people?
Well for a start it's the back of people's heads!
But yeah, if I am around and people sing it, I have a word.
The whole point is, that you can be a proud Arsenal fan, you can view Spurs as our rivals, and you can be well aware that there are Spurs fans who would like nothing better than to beat up Arsenal fans,
So you are probably going to dislike Spurs.
But NOT all Spurs fans are looking to fight Arsenal fans.
Many Jewish Arsenal fans are not keen on the song, and there are roughly 80,000 Jewish Arsenal fans in London.
And however much you dislike Spurs, to bring an anti-Jewish vibe to it is just wrong.
Because there are many more non Jewish Spurs fans than there are Jewish Spurs fans.
The foreskin song is sung by some with an anti Jewish feeling..that is what this is about.
The whole song might seem funny, and many sing it as banter, but it encourages an anti Jewish feeling.
I am not saying that people will definitely rush out and join the Nazi Party after singing it, but it sets up an atmosphere and an environment where unwanted and out of order comments creep in.
It is not that far a step from that song to a few years ago when people made Gas noises on the terraces when singing about Spurs..because of the gas in the Nazi extermination camps.
Surely you can see the link?
Not to mention we have Nasri, Traore, Toure, Sagna and Diaby (and possibly Van Persie) who are Muslim, and might well be offended too.
