The truth is rather more prosaic.

We can write off any new signings until after the champions league qualifier. Another £20 Million in the bank, the lure of champions league football, will make a very big difference to our movements in the transfer market

so were gonna have to wait until after the 2nd leg then. hes waiting till august 31st i think

Now why would Wenger go and sign a player like that?
That would be madness!
Would be nice to see a big hulk of a player like that though.

can't agree with that flash. Song will be away for the ACN in January,
and we've been an injury prone team for some time. Not to mention
that Gallas, Senderos and Silvestre's contract all expire at the end of the season.

Player Transfer thread

Didn't Arsene jokingly say about transfer "a lot can happen between 26 - 31 August, especially last 2 hours"?
I reckon if we get past Celtic, he'll sign two players by deadline dayand Hangeland in January once Fulham are out of Europe as he couldn't play in Champions league until then anyway.

I was at the game last night, we played every well, against a side that didn't offer much going forward. However my honest thoughts are, against a extremely quick team we could be still found out in the middle of the park.
Two players added to the squad would make perfecf sense>>>!!!
