No, what you actually said is that PV4 had little or no self control which suggests that he was losing it on a regular basis and that was not the case at all. I also believe that on closer examination you will see that a lot of the cards he received from referee's were extremely harsh

Of course when Paddy spat at Ruddock it definitely was the deliberate action of an animal. Ruddock was a c*** of the highest order but spitting at someone is the most disgusting thing you can do to be honest.

Barton certainly was a thug, but last season he seemed to be a reformed character and played very well for the Geordies.

Can't remember much about enrique - but clichey can feck off if he likes - he cose us a couple of games now - and THAT game where we were winning despite Eddie having had his leg shattered by the piece of slag slime taylor.

Gibbs isn't quite ready yet, but maybe another season or 2....mind you if AW actually manages to prize his wallet open we couold have Samba AND Cahill and so TV5 can move out to the left flank...

i'm not saying clichy's great, cos he's not, but everyone gives him shit for that penalty without acknowledging that it was actually a very good, fair tackle, that was WRONGLY given as a pen by the referee. so of all the things he has done wrong, that isn't one of them!

And no, our lazy players are not just Brazilians, Danish or Russian, far from it, at various points of the season Nasri, Clichy, Eboue, Squillaci, Koscienly, Diaby, Song, and Chamakh have either been slack, switched off or simply not turned up, the only player that never was young Jack....

Are you suggesting that he wasn't an aggressive player on the pitch who sometimes went over the top and who didn't lose his head from time to time? 9 red cards and countless yellows tells you he was no pussy like our current 'enforcers' an animal is not an insulting term.

Forget bringing whole games into it, that is irrelevant and neither here nor there, we are talking isolated incidents which is what Barton gets slated for, isolated incidents and his private life which is a completely different story.

If you are reading that and take it as it means he used to run around the pitch for 90 mins eating small children then that's your problem for seeing what you want to see while not being able to take it in the context in which we were discussing it about which incase you missed or was too slow to understand was about if Barton could bring anything to this current team given its lack of bite.

Now, back to Sky Sports Years I go.

I could be wrong - maybe I'm remembering it wrong - but he was fannying about with the ball instead of 'clearing his lines' (ie: thumping it up field in a boltonesque fashion) when he caused possession to be lost...then hey presto

Totally agree the brumscum player dived and conned the ref - who was a wanker that day....but clichey definitely played a major part in how the pen came about....

If he really is out of favour would anyone else think it would be worth us making a play for him? In two minds personallyâ€¦ looked a shadow of himself last year, as if the injuries had taken their toll, plus thereâ€™s the back-to-back ANCâ€™s coming up. But on the other hand, imo he was world-class in his position before last season & heâ€™s still only 27,28 I think, proven winner, PL-ready and at his best exactly the sort of driving force we lack. Would enable us to play 4-4-2 at times too, whereas Song doesnâ€™t. Plus he's African (with Ligue 1 experience thrown in) so he'll be right up some of you lot's street!

Unlikely I know, but Abramovich isnâ€™t the sharpest tool in the box transfer-wise.
