If 25 and unders had turned out in the same numbers as the older generation and voted in the same trend then the result might well have been different.
Wonder if the Corbyn revolt (and stubborn refusal to resign) has anything to do with the Chilcott report coming out next week?
Methinks that Corbyn might well be asking for a war crimes indictment against Big Tone...

Errm none of those countries have free access to the single market, which is what we want. The only country outside of the EU that does is Norway and they pay in more per head of population than we do, have to accept free movement (they are in Schengen) and have no say in the rules and regulations that are set. The single market is not just about trade it is about making it easier to trade, something the Brits did most to bring about.
I'm really not sure how we can spend 40 years bitching and moaning about the cost and rules of the club we belong to, get big discounts and special rules that apply only to us. Then when we stick 2 fingers up at them and say we are off, we say we still want all the benefits of the club but we are not going to pay or stick by the rules. Good luck with that one at your local gym or golf club.
Exactly!
We don't want anymore damn eastern europeans, even though it was us, the BRITISH, who pushed for greater expansion so as to dilute the power of France and Germany within the EU. You have to laugh.

it wasn't us, it was our politicians, of all parties.
The politicians are elected by you.
You'll still want these guys working on the streets and in our public services though. Keep the good ones and get rid of the scroungers. Throw in the lazy brits while you're at it, though!
And it should it should have been the politicians who decided our fate in Europe. A referendum is the worst kind of democracy for a decision this big.
i voted ukip since ive been of age. so they were not elected by me. which politicians exactly urged this expansion and refused to put a hiatus on migration as we had the option of doing from newly intergrated nations?
as for the bit in bold, i know you are attempting to patronise me, but what exactly is wrong with that? thats what a limited immigration system would allow, let those in we need or want. keep those we dont out. if those we let in for low slikked work dont stick to what we want them to do we revoke visas. not rocket science. but i suppose u think letting everyone in is the answer, causing unsustainable population growth and all the knock on impacts that brings.
a immigration system that we have control over allied to a major benefits reform and a huge push in vocational training (and stopping the ridiculous and pointless aim of gettin more people to university) would solve so many of this countries problems.
You should think more about Europe from the perspective of other countries and their people. About their wishes, their reasons for being part of it. The EU is flawed but not fatally so.
Turning our back on Europe is wrong and I fear the country will pay for it.

Pay for it? We are and have been for a long time. Here in Spain vat runs at 12% luxury and6% for basicsand10%to eat out. A litre of petrol is 1 euro .07 which is 20% cheaper than at home which is strangely the rate of vat we pay on top of the already taxed petrol at the pump.An average petrol site makes about 6 pence profit per litre the rest goes to the actual cost of the fuel and the treasury. We have to raise this money of course to pay into the club to keep it going.

rates of Vat here in Spain 21% for luxury goods 4% standard goods and 10% to eat out so I am informed. Income tax is the same at 20% for a basic tax payers There are higher rates but the barman did not know the levels as he said he had no chance of ever earning enough. He was just grateful for the job having been one of the youth unemployed for 2 years.

So much lower than the UK. Are you saying we will see a fall in VAT if we leave? If so why.
Also I do find it very sad that anyone under the age of 55 can be a kipper.

Had a feeling Boris wouldn't run when Gove announced. Previously something of a loveable rogue, he's now toxic to basically anybody who didn't vote Leave.
I think it is a strong field of candidates. Liam Fox lacks charisma in this political day and age, and is tarnished by his previous resignation - no hope. Stephen Crabb is a real up-and-comer and I expect that he'll get a big Cabinet post in the next Government as long as he doesn't sling too much mud - but whilst he speaks impressively he hasn't got any gravitas.
Andrea Leadsome campaigned impressively but I don't think that she has enough to challenge the two big guns and think it will end up in a shoot-out between Gove and Theresa May - Leadsome may well get a key role in a newly-formed Brexit department though. I think May will triumph and that she is probably the right candidate.
For all those spray paintings etc of Boris kissing Trump, neither of them are going to be in any position of power come November.

Boris has been persauded NOT to run because he will be nobbled just like Heseltine was in after maggie was toppled and we ended up with major !
Part of the deal will be offerred a major post in the new government which the new leader will renege on as soon as he's in the chair
Gove is a grade a cant as is Theresa May .
Liam Fox was so corrupt he brought his best mate and business partner along for the gravy train ride b4 he was outed !
jeremy hunt thought about running he's a ++++a cant .

Stephen Crabb hasn't been around long enough to have much mud stuck to him and seems a down to earth, intelligent bloke. (I'm assuming he's the Northern bloke with the scarce beard?)!

Not a problem; there aren't any flocks of sheep in Westminster to dtstract him! Also, I'm too old to be in the loop of current language; I'm still using "cool", "far out" and "groovy" so what do you lot mean by "battiness"?
