Trouble is - and I think your suggestion is BRILLIANT!...and should be done, but The deposit I pad (£800) won't be paid till the agency (another bunch of moneywhore scumcunts) have done an 'Appraisal' then I get's my money back - But I agree mate...It would be sooooo excellent to unleash the local lowlife free in there with a few crack pipes and some snakebit wine.

Yes, mate first thing I did when this first came up....He (as do I) have to simply give 1 months notice to quit....He needn't give a reason - nor the tenant/s....it's all fucked up and loaded in the landlord's favour - The whole deposit thing - which in some ways is entirely understandable - but I've always said that the tenant/s should get the 'interest' from the deposit - especially when it has sat in his bank for a few years/months earning 3 - 5% high rate investment rate etc...It was one of the laws passed by the Tories way back when slagthatcher got in....so the rich get richer and the rest get fucked over yet again.

I have (perhaps bravely - some might say foolishly) decided to make a total break from this area and head back to where I have family and where my best friend lives...I have someone coming tomorrow to buy my furniture (80% of it anyway) and just keep all my 'Personal stuff'. I've over 6,000 CD's though and over 500 Books - and at least at this point in time, I just can't bare to part with them....

It's quite a leap into the unknown - and so I am hoping and praying I land on my feet somewhere - and find a place to live and get a decent job.....a BIG ask these days I know....But even at my age, I just feel like I HAVE TO make a New Start...Now that I am 95% over the divorce /losing family etc....it's been 5 years now...and we only live so long..

So, for those who do 'Pray' I ask you to mention me for My Best And Highest Good.

good luck OBG. you do need a clean break sometimes and in many cases that is what you need to truly move on. you have to take decisive action to change your luck and i do hope it comes off for you pal, i'm sure it will.

my rather pedantic 8949. arsehole companies online who, when you order, despite SPECIFICALLY CLICKING "DO NOT CONTACT ME WITH MARKETING MESSAGES" still send fucking emails to you 24 hours later that are marketing!! *word censored*!!!!
