My worry is whether Arteta has the will to change his tactics with the sqaud he has now.Every decent manager can predict that he is going to play inverted full backs, stick with one up top and attack down the wings. My last game was the Brentford game and it nearly put me off football for life.Slow predictable play with continuous aimless balls in and around the penalty area.He now has the chance not to play his favourite s and maybe against low block teams have a go at 442 or use the full backs down the wings.I am not confident Arteta will suddenly become a manager that other managers can not work out.He manages like he played.

I think Diet Pep is going to have to make some difficult decisions that might upset the fanboys.

On the assumption that Gyokeres will sign, and that Madueke cost c.£50m, it's unlikely that they would have been bought as benchwarmers. Assuming that Havertz and Saka are favourites and he opts for Rice, Zubamendi and the bloke from Brentford in central midfield, that doesn't leave much room for Captain Milksop and Martinelli in the starting line-up. But that would bring more pace and more attacking options, which have been shite for years.

I can see Martinelli taking on the Trossard role assuming Trossard leaves.

Not much room for Jesus, and I have doubts about whether Nwaneri will be managed properly. But given that he has signed a contract extension then he must have been given assurances.

But it's Diet Pep we are talking about here and his decision making often leaves me bewildered
