Olivier Giroud - Another Alan Smith or "Le Chapman"?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Poor game again but did at least come up with

"Won" us the penalty
Nice touch down to Podolski for the shot that hit the bar
Scored the 2nd (maybe)
Good flick-on and knocked the centre-half flying to start the third

Don't think it justifies his place in the team at all, and it's a dream being a striker when the ball is more or less camped in the opposition box, but for ten minutes today he wasn't useless and it made a/the difference.

On the fantasy team league they originally gave it to bassong as og which gave me -1 for bassong ,but now have +1 for him as they gave the goal to giroud :barscarf:

The bloke was pathetic yesterday - no heart, no fight, no pace, no talent. Utterly, utterly, utterly shite. The touch of an elephant

Ahh that explains it

He was by and large awful until the last 10 minutes or so.

Know there were fitness concerns but if Walcott is ever to play up front it has to be games like this. The one time Gervinho showed some endeavour to get in behind he was played through by a simple ball and blew a relatively straightforward finish, had Walcott played up front they would either have let him get in behind or been forced to play deeper, allowing Cazorla and Wilshere to exert more influence in dangerous areas.

Giroud is really a stinking pile of rotting shit, I absolutely hate the *word censored*, he's got nothing about him at all and his antics of putting his hands on his head drives me insane and as for his fucking song!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I'd rather that he wasn't here at our club so it isn't sung at all, but why is it sung everytime he shanks a shot and it hits the corner flag? If it's sung for encouragement then it's plainly not working!

I quite like the song but only when its merited....... and its better than having to listen to one Arsene fucking Wenger all the time.
As for Giroud...... too lightweight and a girls blouse to boot. I fucking hate it when he gets clobbered hard (but not over the top) and he starts rolling around in fucking agony waving to the bench. Man up you fucking tart and grow a pair your playing for the Arsenal not the fucking scum!
Besides that, I thought he was starting to develop a good understanding with Podolski earlier in the season and there were signs of that in the final 10 minutes against Norwich.
But if it comes down to a straight choice between him and poldi....... no brainer, Podolski every time. :barscarf:
