Totally outplayed today..Belgium are good at retaining possession so it was ironic that when cruising at 2-0 and 3-0 their passing disimproved..
Could have had a penalty maybe, but rather than harp on about that Ireland need to realise where exactly they are in the pecking order..
Great to see some of the self elected Greatest Supporters in the World happy to be on the big screens near the end of the game..

Pretty accurate assessment DB but i wonder how things would have gone if you'd got the penalty shout, Belgium have shown they aren't as good a side as everyone makes out if you can peg them back :rubchin:

And before anyone says it wasn't a penalty you get free kicks for raising your foot above ball height outside the box these days so that was a definite penalty in my book :box:
TBH I've seen them given as free kicks to defenders alright but very seldom as pennos for attackers. If we had gotten a penno and scored I'd still put money on Belgium to win - more because of how poor we can be than how good they can be.

I agree though Belgium are no great shakes and will be lucky to get past the round of 16 I reckon.
I suppose to some posters on here even shorty Shane Long being booted in the head is still much higher than they'll ever experience so it wouldn't have hit them and therefore would not be a free kick

My understanding is that "high boot" is classed as dangerous play which means, if I am correct, that we should have been awarded an indirect free kick inside the penalty area. I can understand it not being given tbh, but for me a head injury is meant to result in play being stopped straight away by the referee, but he let play continue and they scored the first goal from that attack.

It has to be said that 3-0 is probably a fair reflection on the game - technically they are country miles ahead of us and the worrying thing is that de bruyne was absolute dogshite and lukaku was fcuk all better  The first touch of a few of our players was a fcuking disgrace - I'm not expecting the same level of skill in tight pressure situations as our opponents, but when players are standing on their own and their first touch see's the ball go 2 or 3 yards away from them, then they should be ashamed to call themselves footballers  Robbie Brady and hoolahan were particularly shite and worse still they were fcuking lazy

The only positive for me is that it is the first scoreline that I have got correct in my predictions that I filled out two weeks ago - I have got some results right (and some badly wrong  ) but this is the first one that I got 100% right :barscarf:

Nope.

Germany for me. 8)

If Ingerland had a few Gunners in there I'd cheer them on, but not with all those N17 vermin playing. Sorry.

Funny that you mentioned that... I have been a supporter of England many years and now I felt a bit uncomfortable to watch them playing because of those scum players. Germany is high in my ranking also.

Could of been a penalty on Long and may well of been given if he had flung himself to the floor holding his face like the narcissit Ronaldo would of done.

Belgium could well of imploded had they gone behind and the squad seems to have taken over from near neighbours Holland in the clique stakes of players not getting on.

Personally think it is a very open tournament and England could possibly go as far as the semi-finals but at some point will be punished with that average back four and keeper.

Worst refereeing i've seen so far in this Austria/Portugal match, i might be slightly biased as i hate Ronaldo and Co but referee is giving them nearly everything....

When Ronaldo's pen hit the post I must admit I laughed nearly as much as when N17 lost 5-1 to already relegated, ten man Newcastle. I can't stand the posing, preening, arrogant, conceited Madeiran. (Not meaning Madeiran as an insult; nice place, great cake).

Definately a penalty for foul on Long.. (well maybe not) I'm starting a campaign to be the 17th team in the last 16 and am refusing to eat Belgian Waffles until justice is done..#jftbig..
