RIP Tony Grieg, always remember him saying around 1976 saying that he'll make the West Indies ''grovel'' then they smashed us 5-0 (I think), also remember that we brought back Brian Close (who had played for us) at the age of 45, a right tough bastard who got his body in the way of bouncers etc... (this was before helmets and all the stuff they wear today)

Bloody tragedy mate, he was battling lung cancer, and looked like beating it, then he has a heart attack this arvo, R.I.P Tony Greig. Legend. :(

Was at the funeral of one of my best friend's brother this afternoon. He was 46. Make the most of it guys.

Passed away over the Christmas holiday.
Proper,old school,Glaswegian football player/Manager.Perhaps his finest moment was winning the F.A. Vase in 1983,as Manager of V.S. Rugby,(now Rugby Town again),1-0 against Halesowen Town. Brother of Archie Knox,one time assistant of Alex Ferguson at Manchester United,(now at Aberdeen with Craig Brown). Jimmy was also a Football/drinking Buddy of my Dad.
Also led V.S. Rugby to a 1-0 win against Manchester United in 1992,(I think),for his Testimonial.

Sorry to hear that Chippy (and Rugby).

Friend's sister passed away this week aged 37.
Definitely make the most of it.
