As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I'd rather sign Fabregas and be left with the problem of trying to fit/utilize all our midfielders in the same team than let him go to United.
Think about that you're saying here: wouldn't you rather be faced with the "problem" of having Ozil and Fabregas in the same team, instead of seeing him in United colours playing with Judas and Shrek?

In principle I agree and in theory I would be delighted to see him back in an Arsenal shirt but let's be honest, if we spend £30m on ANOTHER midfielder it's going to leave other holes unfilled.
Wait, sorry I've just heard, apparently this is THE year Wenger is going to spend big. The shackles are off and he's learned his lesson

Don't see wh we cant do some sort of swap deal. Ozil for Fabregas + Pedro

If him going to Utd means we can spend the money on a top quality, genuine world class striker instead then I don't give a fuck. Bringing Cesc back is a massive waste of money in my eyes, we've got diminuitive technical midfielders coming out of our ears.

I agree, but if Wenger intends to do his usual and ponce about the market until the last day and sign Vela/Remy I'd rather we splurged on Fabregas, tbh.

Really?
Why, after spending £42m on a player, would we be looking to use him as a makeweight for a player we could apparently buy back for cash due to a first option?
Your trolling of Özil is becoming more and more bizarre.
Loic Remy has said he wants to play in the Champions League.
French striker Loic Remy has held talks with Liverpool and Arsenal over a summer move, a source close to the player told Press Association Sport on Thursday.
That's the only way I see Cesc fitting in. But we're gonna ship a load of goals with that midfield.
Which is why it probably won't happen - at least not in that set up, even though it's the most feasible.
Apparently though, Van Gaal isn't interested so there's no chance of him going United which essentially renders this whole quandary moot: I can't see us moving for him unless United forced our hand by trying to sign him.
