The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think a competition should be launched, along the lines of 'what's the meaning of life?" or "How big's the Universe?", namely;

"How far would the Scum have to move to escape our shadow?" Answers on a psotcode.

If we look at theoretical mathematics, the scum would have to move beyond Infinity.

Infity is defined as;

In general, infinity is the quality or state of endlessness or having no limits in terms of time, space, or other quantity. In mathematics, infinity is the conceptual expression of such a "numberless" number. It is often symbolized by the lemniscate (also known as the lemniscate of Bernoulli ), which looks something like the numeral 8 written sideways. This symbol for infinity was first used in the 1600s by the mathematician John Wallis.

Infinity can be defined as the limit of 1/ x as x approaches zero. Sometimes people say that 1/0 is equal to infinity, but technically, division by zero is not defined. Another notion is that infinity is a quantity x such that x + 1 = x . The idea is that the quantity is so large (either positive or negative) that increasing its value by 1 does not change it.

I think that sums it up nicely. 8)

If there's a pun there it looks a bit Greek, and as such is way over my head.

However, if it's a good pun I'll take credit for it.

tomorrows papers report that the new cow shed won't be ready until 2020 NOT 2017. so they'll be homeless for three years at least :

Tottenham have been warned they could face the nightmare prospect of a move to their proposed new ground shelved until 2020.

Chairman Daniel Levy has secured a compulsory purchase order on the land surrounding White Hart Lane, but the last remaining tenant has been given leave to appeal to the High Court.

The decision forced Spurs to admit this week that they were ‘highly unlikely’ to move into a new stadium for the start of the 2017-18 season.
:D :D :D

classic spuds - sell your ground without getting approvel for the new one.

so much can go wrong between now and 2020. i'd love to see them stuck in MK :barscarf:

where ever there is light, there will be shadow.

so it has to be where there is no light - outside the solar system perhaps ?

Though a more relevant question to them , is how far do they have to go to be out of Villa, Forest and Evertons shadow ? as a) they've all won the league more recently, and b) they are fellow midlands clubs, or soon will be :mrgreen:

I think we should tell them they can share with us for a season......

....Until the night before their first game when we change all the locks and tell them to piss off to Highbury Fields if they want to have a kickabout.

Maybe they could try a different sport. They couldn't be less successful.

so, they actually sold the shithole and have no choice but to go somewhere else? they couldn't rent it back for a season? I'm seriously looking forward to them scrambling around london looking for a spare ground :lol:
with any luck they'll have to share the os with the spammers and play their games with absolutely no atmosphere
