The ONLY World Cup thread (merged)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I said a few days ago that germany wont win the world cup cos they dont have a quality striker - someone tried to tell me that werner is a top quality striker
Yeah because one quiet game means you're shite.
Muller, Reus etc must be shite too then. Not to mention Messi who bottled a penalty, what a shite player that bloke is.

Is it still too early to judge werner then buddy ? Three games = Zero goals   :barscarf: :barscarf:
Delighted.

Fuck off Germany. :barscarf:

Dissapointed for Germany but they got what they deserved. Toothless and unadventurous and shockingly technically poor for the most part.... they reminded me of Wenger's Arsenal a bit.

But ultimately Lowe has to take responsibility. Leaving Sane out and bringing well past it players like Muller and Khadira was the kiss of death. Muller was the worst player in the whole tournament last night. Literally just got in the way. Neuer's antics are typical of the "crazy goalkeeper" horseshite: they will lose you as many games as they win you.

Kroos was his inconsistent best and Ozil was just plain poor technically for most of it. Of course the usual stupid agenda monkeys on here will blame it all on Ozil despite the fact he put 3 absolute sitters onto Hummels and Gomez that would have won the game at nil all. Hopefully we can get rid of him and his PL assist record and replace him with Jordan Henderson or hopefully Robbie Savage can come out of retirement and run about a bit in there!

Just once Ladyboy FC or Tottenham UK don't win it (they wont  ) I don't really care who does. It's been a very poor tournament.

Loew may have made some poor selections, but turning down Arsenal and signing an extension to 2022 was the best decision ever, thank fuck for that!
No more pictures of him picking his nose when your having your tea is a plus, fuck off Germany!.... :barscarf:

The righteous celebrations throughout the UK at Germany's demise reminds me of us and the vermin fans. Completely dogshit themselves and incapable of winning anything, all their football joy comes at the expense of Arsenal misfortune.

Kane and the other tottnum players in the team, used to the scum mindset, probably feel getting out of the group is the same as winning the WC.

Just relax and enjoy it. Its not Arsenal so there is no edge of the seat stuff. Just sit back and see how far the country can get and laugh at the countries that gets stuffed :barscarf: which will be us before long

Nice relaxing, no stress football perfect in this warm weather :barscarf: :barscarf:

Football hasn't stressed me for many years, became resigned to Arsenal failures ...the best thing that's happened for me in football in the last 5 or 6 years is Wenger finally being tossed out. Cannot wait for the season to start again, WC has been disappointing so far. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

totally agree and I am making the most of it since there won't be another summer world cup for another 8 years!
I'm sure that the next World Cup will be fine, I just don't think in December it will have quite the same relaxed feel...

Good to see the tottnumb cùnt that captains Korea loves a dive just like Fat Tongue and Stupid Eyebrows ^^ Deli Sandwich. :censored:

Hilariously one of my less pc colleagues in work (who had ze Germans in the office sweep) blurted out just as the head of division walked by:

"Son is a cheating dog muncher!"

To say the boss looked unimpressed would be an understatement of epic proportions.

Come on Belgium! :barscarf:

Only way England have a chance is if we finish 2nd in the group. If you think that is defeatist then ask why Belgium are putting out their entire 2nd team tonight.

0-0 at 89 mins - put on the Burnley guy and tell him to score an OG. Doesn’t matter if he gets banned for rest of tournament!

COME ON ENGLAND :unionjack: :unionjack:

And even in 8 years a lot of the games will be played in the night for us on UK time so it wont be quite the same.

Being born in 1973, I consider Spain '82 to be my first world cup. ... and that one still remains the best one I've seen. There have been some okay ones since but also some really awful ones too ... like USA 94, Japan/Korea 02 and S Africa 2010.

This current world cup has been quite good so far I think. Certainly better than international football usually is (which is fucking dire). As it will be the last one of its kind I am trying to make sure I enjoy it.

I genuinely struggle to think of a player luckier than Ozil in all the time i have watched football. The vast majority of players would not even of made the germany squad based on his club performances this season. On top of that he has been rewarded with 350,000 quid a week on the back of his lack lustre performances for us.Not only is he lucky he is also possibly the more frustrating player i have ever seen in an Arsenal shirt...we all know he has it in him to turn a game at any moment but he appears to just not care and is now showing the same traits in an international shirt.Baffling really.
