Yesterday's result was embarrassing, but the abuse posted on social media towards Havertz, his missus and unborn child were nothing short of disgraceful, I thought that was behaviour reserved for chavs and scousers!
I hope they can be traced and shamed in the courts.
Holy Sweet Jesus H Christ! REALLY!!!?

If they do manage to trace them, they should not only be taken to court to face whatever legal penalties can be applied; preferably "Prison", but the club should issue a Life Time Ban.

We all get angry and say things we might later regret, but FFS keep it in context....There are people dying daily whether it be in Ukraine or those people caught in the fires in LA... But to do the above.... well I don't have the words.... At least keep it All about the Football, The Club and the Owners

I rarely bother listening to Gooners on any of the Social Media platforms but someone sent me the link to this guy ....

ps: As Angry as he is, he still manages to be articulate and I must admit I cannot Fault him on ANY of the points he raises. IMO Worth a Watch / Listen.

People saying Odegaard is not the problem as if he has some special dispensation to not score goals. With the loss of attacking impetus, we need him to be doing a lot more than just offloading 5yard passes all over the place.

I see reports like this frequently (not just AFC players) where player x claims that he or his family were abused or racially abused and I ask myself .....

1. Is it even genuine or is it a ploy by the player and/or his agent to turn the narrative around and get sympathy for the player ? Agents are sneaky b*stards and always thinking and scheming and it wouldnt surprise me a jot if things are not as they seem (I was an x files fan  )

2. If they are genuine comments/abuse, is it likely that the offenders are actually fans of that club or even fans of football ? The comments where the abuse is racist always raises red flags for me cos I think that they are so many racist c.unts out there that would happily want to use anything as an excuse to fire their racist bile at people

3. If the comments are genuine and from genuine fans, then what does it say about those people ? Honestly I get angry on occasions ( ) BUT going online is a whole other level of hatred - whilst watching a game live at the stadium or at home or in the pub I might call a player a useless c.unt at times, but after a game in the cold light of day, to go online and abuse a person like this is disgraceful, and nobody deserves that. The social media companies are wrong of course for not complying with authorities investigating abuse when it crosses the line, but at the same time we know that if those companies did comply, there would be uproar from civil rights c.unts claiming illegal sharing of personal data   :censored:

Its a sad fact of life that famous people get abused online - politicians, actors, business people, world leaders, sports stars etc. Football players are no different. Recently some high profile tennis players grouped together and commented how they get regular death threats etc, specifically linked to people who lose £000s on bets when they underperform

I don't condone it at all, obviously. What I will say is that it comes out as a defence for shit performance. Xhaka played that card magnificently - turning his own two fingered salute to the fans (whilst captain) into something born out of 'self defence' from all the online abuse he received. Look at the abuse Postecoglou got from his own fans at Bournemouth, which I suspect spills over on to the social media scene

If Havertz had knocked Man U out, he would have had opposition fans wishing death on him and his family for the cheating dive for the penalty - sad but true.

It isn't any form of defence for playing shite, just like it wasn't for Xhaka.

Teenager, 17, arrested over online abuse of Havertz

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/ar ... r5gz4z5ppo

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of "malicious communications" following the online abuse of Arsenal striker Kai Havertz and his wife

The boy, who is 17 years old and from St Albans, has been bailed while enquiries continue, Hertfordshire Police said.
Havertz's wife Sophia posted to her Instagram story two direct messages she had received after Arsenal's FA Cup defeat by Manchester United earlier this month, one which included threats to the couple's unborn child.
The German forward, 25, missed a chance to win the game in normal time and then had his penalty saved by United keeper Altay Bayindir in the shootout as United won 5-3 on penalties following the 1-1 draw.
The couple have been together since 2018 and got married last year, with Sophia announcing in November that she was pregnant.
In response to the messages, Sophia wrote the culprit should be "ashamed" of themselves, while Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said online abuse of players has "terrible consequences" and needs to be "eradicated from the game".
