THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Extremely disappointed tonight, and the reality is that being knocked out will guarantee another trophyless season. We are no where near good enough to win the title the Cl or even the FA cup, and tonight proves that yet again, we are unable to play against the top sides. How embarrassing that Mourinho leaves England for a few years, comes back, and still gets the better of Wenger.

Precisely... How much more of this mirage will the board and fans put up with !?!
Wenger continues being incapable of building a winning team,..a defence that can't keep clean sheets,
He takes 3% of club revenues personally for generating average performance (average because the club should be in the top 4 each year with the resources it has and should win a trophy )

We are top of the league havIng played 1 team in the top half of the league...."mirage" ...the fans need to exert change ...the football does not warrant the cost of a season ticket , particularly wheN there's NO CHANCE OF WINNING A COMPETITION

keep the pressure on ...look at the stats not hope

There is no pressure - look at the early pages of the Chavs match thread. Sadly Lord Cruntybollocks and the board have brainwashed even a pessimist that cups like the League Cup don't matter, and that the 4th placed trophy is the 'be all and end all' zenith of achievement

The Ozil signing was very clever because it swayed the middle ground back towards Wenger and his hard core lobotomy club followers

There will be no change in regime any time soon

There's a lot more to say. The best managers have know how to play wenger - hence mourinho has never lost wenger !

That's the story ... We continue with a manager who uses all resources to generate expected performance or "average " performance, with no prospect of "outperformance" and that is boring beyond belief !!

Meanwhile other teams are getting better .... Think about what that means in 3 years !

Mourinho has never lost to Wenger for one simple reason, the money the chavs have spent.
I'm just enjoying the moment being top, not for one minute do I expect to be there for long.
How can we compete with chelsea and Man city? In my eyes, they're not even big clubs.
Just hope we beat the mickies sat and stay top for a bit longer.
Not the biggest Wenger supporter, but will support him whilst hes manager.

That is a silly statement. Too simplistic. When Moron-hio wasn't there we managed to beat them 5-3 away in the 2012 season and 3-1 at home in the 2011 season. Moron-hio has never lost to Wenger because he is a more pragmatic manager.

Maureen-io is a winner......it's simple. By contrast, Wenger stopped being a winner 8 years or so ago and will NEVER get that back at Arsenal.

Under Wenger Arsenal are never more than 2 important injuries away from disaster. To start the season with just Giroud as a striker (I'm not even going to give that fat waste of space fuck Bendtner the pleasure of being CALLED a striker even), is a disgrace. A last minute effort to get Ba from one of your rivals was idiotic in the extreme. It's all so very very predictable. A draw against Liverpool and a defeat against United will leave us exactly where we belong.....battling for 4th fucking place. This manager continues to kill this club every second he is there.

Dear Jesus that speaks volumes, yet there are some on this forum who wouldn't have Mourinho as our manager. :?
