The killer line is Gazidis' two week holiday in America. Shouldnt he have gone on this at the end of the season instead of now. What WE pay him for is being at Arsenal and doing all he can do to ensure that we keep our best players and improve the sqaud so we can challenge for trophies. Its sickening the contempt that these guys show towards us the customers seen as thats how we are viewd now.

It really surprises me just how deluded some of our fans are.
Van Persie not signing because we wont win trophies again for a long time. Lets face it this is the most obvious truth.
Podolski and Giroud are unknown but our defense is known and conceeds goals all the time. Chelsea we are not in a defensive term.
Anyway we have just lost one of the best strikers in the world. Also our last true great so its gone full circle for me now and we are back to pre George Graham Arsenal with no chance of success.
Thanks RVP you were amazing

"
We have to respect Robin's decision not to renew his contract. Robin has one year to run on his current contract and we are confident that he will fulfil his commitments to the Club.
"We are planning with ambition and confidence for next season with Arsenal's best interests in mind."
Didnt they say something very similar with Nasri?
Expect him to be sold on the last day of the transfer window.

They're making all the noises about making him see out his final year but you know they'll bottle it 2 days before the window shuts when the prospect hits home that they're about to watch £25m walk out the door. And of course then we'll have no time to replace.
Cretins! Sell now and replace!

Do you never learn ? Certain players cant be replaced. We can buy another average player to join the average team we have.Dan_85 wrote:They're making all the noises about making him see out his final year but you know they'll bottle it 2 days before the window shuts when the prospect hits home that they're about to watch £25m walk out the door. Whilst there is no way he should go on a long holiday during the season or during our pre season tour, the man deserves a break.
He has taken it between the Euros and our pre-season travels, and in this day and age would have a couple of smartphones and an ipad with him to stay in touch.
If Van Persie wanted to extend his contract he could meet with Wenger, Dick Law and Ken Friar; Gazidis could be on Skype or a conference call if vitally needed.

When's it going to sink in? How many times before Arsenal fans see what's going on?Jock Gooner wrote:At his age I'm not really bothered about whether he stays as long as we get some serious money for him and it is invested over and above what we have already paid for the 2 new boys. Would be quite happy to do a players + cash deal with Man City if we got Adam Johnson as part of it. Is it me or was it fate that in his penultimate season RVP managed to go through it injury free and scoring aplenty (when he wants in fact). Guarantee hes back on the treatment table next season where ever he is.... in fact that's probably quite a good reason why he wants to get away from Arsenal

So he had a meeting on 16th May. Pretty certainly he would have told the club then or thereabouts. They basically kept it until the season ticket renewal deadline passed -
this club stinks. But RVP's not a fool - it's an indictment on the team that he knows he isn't winning anything with players like theo walcott in the team

Wenger once again made to look a fool by his star player, and this time rvp has confirmed the clubs lack of ambition for his reason for not signing a contract.
We need to get rid of the cancer that is destroying the club, ie wenger and the whole board, because at the end of the day they are one in the same.

Ridiculous statement from Arsenal now. He'll ba obviously sold, they probably just want to squeeze some extra money out of the asian tour.
Worst part of all this comotion is to see the self proclaimed paladins of Arsenal's best interest ( AST ppl) lining up with the board and saying everything is alright, it's not that bad

Arsenal say they expect van Persie to fulfill year left on his current deal. Club also deny claims Ivan Gazidis is on holiday. Messy
