That ship has sailed - we could have had him for sweet fa in the summer and he was a player that I mooted here on several occasions (to be shot down by the majority it must be said)

Am I right in saying that he is only on loan with the geordies for the season ? If so we wont have a chance of signing him next month

Re: January transfer rumours thread
The concerns with Remy are/were over his injury record. He might have been worth a punt on loan but no way should we pay 12m or give him a long term contract imo.augie wrote:green gooner wrote:That is the one bit of transfer gossip I would believe to be honest.mcdowell42 wrote:Arsenal are considering a £12m January bid for QPR striker Loïc Rémy who is on loan at Newcastle. Also he is on loan for the whole season, that article is talking about signing him in the summer
Re: January transfer rumours thread
Juventus are poised to battle Premier League clubs Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal to sign Real Madrid's Argentine winger Angel Di Maria, 25, next summer .
Talk Shite reports
Di Maria isn't coming.
Augie 'bragging' about spotting Remy
I'd rather be spotted shagging one of the two Old Trafford banner lovelies. Remy is fucking shite.....a quick Giroud......and I hope with every bone in my body that he isn't coming

Giroud
Podolski
Walcott
Sanago
I'd be gobsmacked if Wiggy is asked to countersign any cheques this January.

There's more chance of Santa Claus coming a second time than Arsey Wonga buying someone, not a chance in hell!!!
Besides, we have Diaby and NoGo coming back from injury in 2015.......

Re: January transfer rumours thread
Cannot find it now but we joked about Loic Remy being the "most linked" Arsenal player for transfer windows, he has been linked with a move to us for the last three years at least.
@SteveO This season Remy has 10 goals in 15 appearances, how is that considered to be a bad player?
My guess is that Remy's legal issues made us not bid for him this summer rather than any lack of awareness of the player, about whom the unusual step had been taken of Grimandi having issued a previous statement (two years ago?) saying Arsenal were impressed with his ability and were continuing to watch.

Steve O, answer me this..
1. is remy better than the worlds greatest Danish striker ?
2. is remy a better option than le postman pat ?
3. is remy a better option than "super quality" park ?
4. is remy a better option than giroud ?
I would argue that the answer to all 4 questions should be yes which supports the idea of him being a good option - of course he isn't the worlds best striker but he is better than all the options we currently have so on that basis alone he would be an upgrade surely ?

Re: January transfer rumours thread
Wenger appears to be a fan (of Remy) if what I've read in the build up to the Toon game can be taken at face value but it's surely moot as he's on a season long loan?
