As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I honestly think Ozil will be gone this summer. He looks increasingly frustrated. I think whatever Wenger specifically promised him hasn't been delivered and he is sick of playing with average and shit players under a clueless manager.
If we believe (and I certainly do) that ozil was signed by gazidas over wenkers head, then ozil looking to leave will put gazidas in a real tough situation - having had the courage of his convictions to sign him despite wenger, then does he allow the senile old cu.nt to force his best player out the door, or will he align himself to ozil and get rid of le cock ? Sanchez will have spells of exceptional form, but there is no doubt in my mind that ozil is far and away the best player in our club, and losing him would be a massive blow to the club. I don't care whether gazidas bought ozil for the quality of player he is, or if he bought him to appease the disgruntled fans, the reality is that both issues will again be huge if we lose him and gazidas will be aware of that.
I honestly believe that a 250k per week wouldn't entice ozil to stay IF the club is going to be run in the same way it has - ozil has been used to winning trophies, and you will never ever talk of him in a stand off with a club because of the wages he is being offered (unlike the brainless pr cu.nt playing yesterday ), so I think that for him to stay, the club will need to make a real statement of change and getting shot of the manager is the biggest statement that could be made
I have just seen Graeme Souness' summary of us after the match yesterday and he is absolutely fuming at what AFC produced yesterday and he is not even an Arsenal fan!!! Every single thing he said though is true, if you have not seen it give it a watch.
For me the worst thing is that I would have picked that exact team given the players available, which you would assume would have been far too strong for a Utd semi-reserve side, but we never even looked like winning it.
I always thought Gabriel was the solution to our defence, but he seems to make at least one big rick every game.
It swiftly got to the point when I was wishing Mertesacker, Giroud and Campbell had started....that's how depressing it was...and it gets worse, "we need Flamini in there to win some balls", I was thinking, and then Elneny and Iwobi come on and I just gave up.
Apart from that, a most enjoyable watch.
In the last chance saloon, West Ham v Spurs, Wednesday, at least two points dropped and I fancy West Brom to hold out at Leicester.

Yours etc,
Mr B Straw-Clutcher
I was thinking this too. So I'll join you in the straw clutching.
What has Joel Campbell done? The bloke isn't the answer but he has done himself justice when given the chance and what you know you'll get with him is hard work and tempo - both of which were lacking severely yesterday.
Whilst it's not fair to expect him to change the game yesterday Iwobi looks clueless - is he another striker being forced onto the wing? In a game begging to be stretched where we had spent 80 minutes passing short and getting cramped, instead of staying high and wide he kept dropping short and cramping us further. His intentions in trying to help out and get on the ball were good but it was tactically disastrous.
Also how comically shit Was Elneny when he came on (what a pointless sub)? Picked up a yellow card for a ridiculous and needless scythe and gave away at least one idiotic free-kick to let them run down the clock.
On the issue of Ozil, I think it would be counter productive for his career to stay here. This is a guy that has an excellent assist rate, but is still being undermined by the quality of players we have up front. How often does he receive the ball, look up and see Giroud there, and realizes he has to pass the ball sideways, as playing a through ball to Giroud is completely pointless. Every world class player knows when they are being surrounded by average quality beside them, and there is most certainly plenty of that at Arsenal. As a fan, I dread him leaving, but I doubt he signed with the expectation of having to play with the likes of Giroud, Ramsey etc. and this season in particular should have been an eye opener to him as to where this team is headed, in particular with our non-existent transfer strategy.
I'm usually optimistic, but I can't be added to the straw clutchers this time. We need to hope that Spurs stay in Europe and tire themselves and then we need to win at least 10 of the 11 and draw the other one (best case). I can't see that happening, we're just shit. It would've been kinder just to let City equalise before Christmas to avoid the hope!
Ray Parlour and a few others asking the same 'Where are the leaders' question that Graeme Souness posed yesterday. But obviously, we all know that AW doesn't want any 'leaders', because he doesn't want any characters strong enough to challenge his dictatorship. I assume this is why Podolski was frozen out.
On the basis that you need leaders to win the title, and AW is dead set against them because he doesn't want his authority or decisions questioned, it's pretty fucking obvious that we're not going to win the title with him in charge.

Whaaaat we searched the world for Eleney he is the best there is....according to the old fraud that is
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Time/s- They are not allowed to Not Look at the screen/look away nor are they allowed to comment (or leave the room)
Only after the 5th time through are they allowed to comment and then they must be asked what the Club, Badge and Shirt mean to them...whilst Mr Tony Adamas and george Graham stand either side of them with Zap/Stun Guns.... should they try and worm their way out of anything with lame excuses etc...
Anyone who has even the slightest inkling or tendency towards thinking Wenger should stay should be made to watch the game 10 time - in it's entireity and then to watch this 10 times.....
Then begin the process all over again.... till they admit their part in this disgrace.

I've always believed the decision to sign Ozil was made by Gazidas and not Wenger, although I think Wenger jumped on board when he realised it was happening no matter what he said or thought. Would be great if a stand off developed that led to Wenger's dismissal but I can't see it happening tbh. Mediocrity Stan does not one fuck give once the CL money comes rolling in.
