Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I was never convinced that he knew what he was trying to do .
That's the way he played. He was never trying to do anything, he just did it. Totally off the cuff and instinctive.

I recall first seeing him play on the right wing for Ajax as a gangly teenager. Looked totally out of place but his ability was obvious. I loved watching him play.
His back heel goal against Middlesbrough was unreal
I also loved his little backwards over the head dink of the defender the Lane, before scoring in a 3-1 victory when we should have gone in to win the league…

Speaking of Kanu this is a good watch....

He is not often mentioned amongst the great players of the past Arsenal have had but he is one of my favorites. Loved watching him play.

Kanu never played in Europe as a gangly teenager, allegedly. Even TA6 took the piss about his age when at Portsmouth.
Teenager or early twenties, whatever. He was still young, gangly and not in his 30's. Don't be so pedantic.
😁 I used to work with a Nigerian and he explained to me the system they had in place to earn a place in the national team. A lot of players declared a false age to make it to the national team, and in Kanu's case he didn't start playing for U-18's until he was 23.

Antonio Conte: “Maybe I'm not so good. Tottenham called me to change things - but I'm too honest. We are doing everything to change situation but it's not enough”, @AlasdairGold reports. ⚪️ #THFC

“Four defeats out of five is not good enough. This doesn't happen to me”.

The way Conte just spoke to me just now he was clearly suggesting that he was going to quit as Spurs manager. " I have to talk to the club" More on @talksport now

#THFC Sam Matterface

Oh dear :barscarf:

And if he does quit then I will be the first to say I'm glad he didn't join us, even though originally I wanted him here. His behaviour on the side lines and post match is awful.

He has had one transfer window and spitting the dummy like a total c.unt

Hilarious to watch because it's them but if our manager behaved like he has, I would be mortified
