As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Sad to see Swansea go. But I would have been even sadder to see Southampton go.
Wolves look pretty tasty / financially doped - take your pick.
This is Warnock’s Eighth Promotion.
Say what you like about him but the guy can lift a side. Whether he can keep them up is another matter.
This coming season will be interesting all round.
Dont write off swansea yet - they have stoke at home on sunday and you would think that 3pts there would keep them up seeing as huddersfield have the chavs away and us at home left. I expect we will get our first 2018 away win on sunday (we will draw or lose tomorrow night), and huddersfield goal difference is worse than swansea's so they will need a point to stay up. I would prefer swansea to stay up tbh, cos that huddersfield stadium just doesnt feel like a football stadium and has a shit atmosphere (at least on tv)
Southampton look safe now , nothing against them but the thought of Hughes having a double relegation season was nice..
Awful game I thought. Granted there was so much as stake it was never going to be for purists.
As much as I hate the Chavs, I would piss myself laughing if they pip media-darling Pochettino and his Scummy team to fourth place.
I would rather they ousted the victims out of champions league spots IF the victims were to lose v madrid (something I dont think will happen ) - it would be fcuking hilarious if the victims didnt qualify for next seasons champs league and ended up pottless, after listening to months of dogshite about what a great season they are having
The devil and the deep blue sea ................ watching the boro v villa game and I dont know if I would prefer to see boro win (pubis is an absolute c.unt ), or see villa win (pikey terry is a chav c.unt )
is it just me or was this the most lopsided PL year ever ?
Newcastle finished 10th with just 44 points.
only the top six had positive goal differences.
compare that to the Championship, where the top 11 had + GD's.
Been going this way for a while. We won the league with 78 points in 98 but that’s not far off 4th place these days. Given that the top teams have not been massively competitive in Europe for years, it indicates that most of the league is getting worse in relative terms (as they’re unable to take as many points off these top teams).
Anybody think Conte will be there next year? Didn’t think so.
