Yeah, had it been 0-0 HT who knows? could have stayed that way (looked like it could go that way tbh,) Inter got very lucky last year as well, which you need to go through against them. We did OK, and went out by one goal. Was hardly humiliating was it?

I'ld like to see our players work like the Barca ones though, they work SO fucking hard

Since when does anyone shout how unfair it is when we have Barca like stats and don't win a game..... And yet that's what those *word censored* Souness and the waiter were saying tonight. Ah, the best team won - end of. Well it's not fucking end of.

What a brave rearguard performance from the lads - and at 1-1 on the night and 2-3 on aggregate I was starting to think we might even have edged ahead as favourites. As we keep on being told, "stats don't win football matches", no, crap corrupt fucking referees do though!

Cesc = obsessed with Barca and from the look of it should not have been playing tonight....same as last season methinks!

Diaby = didn't put a foot RIGHT all night.....

Rosisky = why not Arshavin.....?

Other than that I thought they were all heroes.....!

Great support from the traveling gooners as well. Not the easiest place to make yourselves heard, stuck in the gods with no roof and spread around a quarter of the ground, but I thought they did us proud.

TeeCee wrote:Yes, shocking decision by the ref but we were like rabbits caught in headlines most of the game anyway. Our passing was woeful and we looked shit scared. There was only going to be one outcome in that game I'm afraid.
I hope Wenger and some fans don't use the RVP incident as an excuse, we weren't at the races tonight, just not good enough.
Have to agree with you here, though I thought we put in a real battling perfomance and had a chance to maybe sneak throught till the red card.

If Almnuia played like that even occasionally he might be worth keeping about...he was terrific as were all things considered Koscielny and Djourou really, just too far much pressure on them all night long.

Agree totally with that and a comment you made earlier re our lack of effort trying to regain possession. Tonight showed the world the real gulf in football class between the 2 teams and bear in mind that we are lauded as a stylish football team. I would also love to think that our players will look at the barca players tonight and take on board the amount of work each and every barca player puts in for his team-mates and manager cos a lot of our players seem to think that talent alone is enough to succeed :( Unlikely our players will notice it much less learn from it tho  :x

Work rate was amazing I have to agree. And the ability to spring the offside trap. Kept on thinking that a Barca player must be offside, yet don't think the linesman got one wrong..... They probably are the best in Europe although lets face it, our game suited them. I'd lay money that they don't win the CL. They'll end up getting knocked out by Chelsea.....

A number of the whore attacks came from crosses, not mainly but there were several that were put into the box. Each time, one of the wingers would get the ball out wide and Sagna/Clichy was nowhere to be seen, the winger was in miles of space every time. Fair enough, our full backs were occupying the more central area around the box but they could've evened it up a bit. I'm amazed at how we only lost 3-1, one of them being a penalty that would've been saved had Al gone to his left, why does he always stay in the center with penalties?

Despite the mullering, our defence showed spirit tonight, at 1-1 I really thought we were going to fuck these spoilt *word censored*.

Didn't Inter Milan do exactly that in last year's semi-finals?
Mourinho knows tactics Wenger doesnt. And Inter had a man sent off like we did

Rear guard defence but injuries stacked the odds against us.

Van Persie should never have been sent off for the crime of shooting at goal!

Cesc was not fit, Rosicky and Diaby look below the level needed.

At least Almunia did well as a sub, and Wilshere worked very hard, Djourou looked good too, Nasri and Sagna not bad.

Koscielny I just wonder. Good player, but is he a new Senderos, always with a clanger in him?

The one player I feel quite sorry for is Jack Wilshere. He's so determined, and really does want to succeed and win trophies. His boyish enthusiasm is conveyed in each of his Tweets, with him declaring his intent to do well for both the club and its fans.

Sadly, he hasn't got the memo that we're also-rans these days. You know it's all going to end in tears, but he seems so positive and enthusiastic that I feel sorry for his apparent naivety. Once he's been here for a couple of years, he'll know the drill and be used to the disappointments. But for now, it's like watching a child's Disney-esque dreams going up in smoke!

donaldo Inter lost the game 1 nil, and didn't Barca have a perfectly good goal ruled out? They had a shit load of luck to get through, which is what you need.

He came over an applauded the travelling gooners twice at the end, even tho he probably couldn't see us! :o

Totally agree about Jack BBP but he shouldnt be playing along side shite like Rosicky and Diaby. Two players who are not fit to wear the shirt. And Wenger has the cheek to say this is his best squad ever :banghead: :banghead:

Had forgotten about that. Brilliant!

Wilshere is capable of single-handedly carrying a team; but no man on this earth is capable of carrying Eboue, Diaby, Denilson, Rosicky and the rest - not even Thierry Henry.
