That's true, absolutely. Fans do have the power to change things... or at least try.

Why do I sit back and do nothing? because that's what most people do. I grumble, moan and lose faith in the manager and board, but ultimately I'm not going to start a fan revolution. I'd consider joining in an existing one, but wouldn't instigate it... that's just not me.

Don't take this the wrong way mate, but USMartin had this knack of point an accusing finger at Arsenal fans where in reality, he'd done nothing either... and, apart from angry posts on here, I assume you've done nothing ground breaking to instigate change either, have you?

And if not, then your question to me ("why are you accepting this?") is surely just as valid aimed at you.
- so, what have YOU done, Baba?

I may not write angrily and I may attempt to look for the positives more than you BUT I've made it clear I'm not happy with the way the club is run and I've said I'd like to see Wenger go... so unless you've done something to make your views known to the board/Wenger, then you're in a similar boat as me, aren't you? (albeit, a much darker moodier boat, but still... )
What have I done?

Simple: I have remained true to the word and the club has not seen a single penny form me in the shape of tickets, merchandising or anything Arsenal related at all. ST ditched, memberships all gone.

That is what is called an economic boycott I believe. There's no feeble excuse that 'Oooh but I will lose my place in the ST queue and waited years to get one'. Sorry. So like I said, I won't sit here, bitch but keep paying my monies.

I have always said that with this board and manager the best thing to do is to hit them in the pocket, because that is where it will hurt them most. Marches like the black scarf protest and spineless joke organizations like the AST (LOL) have shown they are about as effective as a marshmallow toilet brush.

It is economic means and that is what I do.

Simples. What I don't do, is splash out on tickets and new kits and then bitch about others doing it. Because then I'd be like those anti-Glazer Manure fans that conducted protests errrrm....within Old Trafford, in their replica kits, holding their match programmes, and STs aloft...oh but they had green and gold scarves!

Babatunde did you actually go to the Grove for the sp*rs home game and shout abuse at Wenger in french like you said you were going to before we had the shutdown on the forum? How did it go abusing him like you said you were going to?
I got a free ticket and I went. I did not pay for this ticket. I did not buy a single drink in the ground.
I was ejected after we made it 3-2 LOL

so babs, you've decided your one man revolution (which involves you doing fuck all, no supporting the club, going to matches home or away and then moaning on the internet) is what will be heard by the fatcats on the board, while moaning 100% of the time on here about us not doing anything?

your funny :D

But he is right imo. They want to make money so you don't give them any if you think they do things wrong. Do you think they care about anything else? Moaning? A protest march? A banner? Anything? It won't matter and why should Kroenke care? He wants to make money and he will be happy with some fans abusing him as long as he get's the money because he didn't buy the club as a fan but as a businessman.

Wenger won't leave as long as the club makes profit or he decides to leave and the next manager will not be an ambitious one but one who is able to make money. Simple as that.

but he's telling us off for doing nothing when he's doing exactly the same, the board don't care about the money of some jumped up freak who was apparently hurling abuse at wenger earlier this season (during a match we won 5-2) they would probably have banned him after he was supposedly thrown out, not that I believe baba is a genuine fan anyway, but to continue in his fantasy wum world he isn't right though. There will be planks and tourists replacing him and nother vocal fans if we did do this, so we might as well be the ones paying up, as long as we let them know how we feel.
Not turning up seems as a lazy/deafitist thing to do, it requires the least effort, and it really isn't something to brag about, fair enough if you go to aways instead but I just see it as a lucky get out for not being much a supporter at all. He spends most of his time on here making the same post that moans about everything about the club from top to bottom, then abuses other posters, whether they agree with him or not. It doesn't sounds like something an Arsenal supporter does, I'm glad he doesn't go to any games, he sounds like a venemous dullard, the sort that turns up at strangers' funerals just because he enjoys it, then complains to the grieving family that it was a shit service.

The less USMartins and babas supporting us the better :barscarf:

keep up the crusade babs 8)

You have a good point as I just forgot about away games. There isn't really a reason not to go to away games.

That's very middle class of you

And that's fair enough in it's own little way.

Many fans, including Steveo, have taken on a similar boycott, and I have no issue with that whatsoever. This season, I've been to a lot less games than last season as I was disillusioned with the club, so I voted with my feet as well, and that was my own little personal boycott.

My dad does a similar personal boycott of gillette products as they use to test on animals. They'll never know they've lost his business, and they'll carry on regardless, but to my dad, it's a moral victory. And you're doing the same. 8)

The club won't notice your silent protest, but you'll know - and that's important. A personal moral victory. I can respect that. 8)

But considering your posts on this forum, I'm a little surprised you don't have an appetite for a more forceful protest and are quite happy to limit your protest to something so passive  After all, you're very direct and aggressive on here, so I wrongly assumed you'd be up for much more direct/in-your face action against the board/manager.

But you're doing your little bit, and that's the main thing. Well done. 8)

Protest march's......that end up at the ground and everyone sits down and watches the match as usual. The club must piss themselves when that happens. The only way to make the club think twice IS to hit them in the pocket. If only 50% of ST holders renewed it might make them think, if games only had 40-45,000 in attendance, they 'might' start thinking something is wrong. But it won't happen because there are too many sheep who think that top 4 is a wonderful achievement!!
Nothing will change with Arsene Wenger in charge and this board will NEVER sack Wenger. So basically it's the Wenger show still, everything revolves around him, he controls everything and does what he likes with no accountability.
Next season will be EXACTLY the same, lots of injuries, no squad depth, no tactics, no signings, same old dead wood, same old wa*kers injured for 90% of the season and Wenger will give them all a 10% pay rise for winning the 4th place trophy again. Arsenal FC are a fecking mess.

Dullard? That's big vocab for you boy.
Actually I think you're symptomatic of the mindless automaton that permeates the rose bowl.
A sheep covered in sheepskin.

You seem completely oblivious to the ends of an economic boycott don't you? If you'd studied your GCSE Maths dear child, you'd understand. An economic statement made by me has been replicated by many others, do stop bring a half-wit. If that's extended to those with a brain (hence this part doesn't apply to you), it impacts.

Here is an example for your wee mind: soon after FSG bought Liverpool, Hodgson lost a couple of games. Then Pool got beat at Wigan. The following match attendance dropped over 5,000. Then when they lost to Wolves at home, attendance subsequently fell by another 17,000 plus.

Hodgson was gone a week later. Sacked.

Further similar examples are witnessed when Barca fans boycotted games under Rexach, or when Inter fans had enough of Ranieri and attendances dropped.

Like I said though.

I'm not going to waste the resources explaining the process of a mass economic boycott to someone with the equivalent intellectual ability of Marouane Chamakh.

I bet Gazidis is thrilled the ground is filled with jokers like you though.
A "real" fan! LOL

I've forgotten more about Arsenal FC than you've had hot dinners.
Now go pick up an economics 101 book and let the adults chat please, there's a good girl.

Have you thought that if the above is true things at Arsenal are not that bad and the likes of you (and me for that matter) might actually be wrong  If attendances arent dropping like other clubs maybe we're doing well after all :?
