The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm not actually sure what I'd find more embarrassing - signing Carrick or hearing that he turned us down to join Beijing Wanderers or the Spartak Shanghai

I'm sure TOF will be going for the big one next season...

Can't see any major signings in the summer yet again, i'm expecting a couple of Elneny level players and internal solutions with the rest of the transfer fund going to increased wages and extended contracts and improved shareholder dividends.

AW is a boards absolute wet dream, give him money and he gives the majority of it back and no-one complains because he is absolutely adored by nearly everyone :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

And here we go again, for what? The 3rd/4th season in a row:

It's getting earlier and more desperate every year, don't the journos realise we have Olivier and Theo :barscarf: :barscarf:

TO1AW baulked at an asking price of just over £30m, so the chances of him considering more than double that now or at any point are between slim and nil. Higuain however could break Remy and Kalou's record of most consecutive transfer windows of being linked with a move to Arsenal

I'm praying to God that he signs for Wong Dong Kung Fooey FC ahead of us. I'll take the embarrassment. It would be a million times better than watching him and the Big German Vagina exchange 350 passes per game - all on the edge of our box, very slooooowly, never getting into the oppo half. :|

We aren't in for Carrick, unless is in some coaching capacity. :D

If we don't win the league this year, we will sign a couple of players (the usual Elneny type), but they won't be 'World Class' unless they are wandering around the Emirates with For Sale signs while knocking on Wengers door.

If we win the league this year, it will convince Wenger that we have a brilliant squad, so we will sign a couple of players (the usual Elneny type), but they won't be 'World Class' unless they are wandering around the Emirates with For Sale signs while knocking on Wengers door.

Problem is that Wenger magic hat seems to have eroded many moons ago, so transforming them into a World Class player seems a bit of a long shot at best.

Well the thinking behind it is that they need someone to move as slowly as the BFG does....next he'll bring back denilson.

And that perfectly sums up the purgatory under TOF :banghead:

Anyone know if you can get rid of your manager on the Bosman rule or put him up for a free transfer, although we might have to offer money for someone to take him :rubchin:
