THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lol, would be nice although not sure that will happen, even in the next nine years. I guess, if we did win the treble it would probably be by default because the others all decided not to try or somesuch ;)

For those still keen to see him go I expect Moyes will be available around mid January.

Poor Managerial decisions so far:

Moyes to United and buying Fellaini
Chelsea letting Lukaka go on loan

Master strokes

Rogers being able to retain Suarez
Wenger getting Ozil and the most out of Ramsey and almost everyone else so far.

And they say that football fans can be fickle

Pick a position and be loyal to that, regardless of what position you take - yes you should be prepared to change your mind if it warrants it, but on the back of one result ?? Right now I don't believe that we will finish in the top 3 much less win the league but I would be willing to alter my position somewhat if we come out of the everton, chavs and citeeh games unscathed this month (and buy a top striker in jan) but I would never base my position on one result

December 2013 and still no contract signed, expiring in May '14. Unlike your burgers I'm moist at the thought of that :barscarf:

And he will continue to mismanage us going forward - everything is going great at the mo and we are top of the league etc but this is a man whose arrogance knows no end and he will be convinced that it is him that has us top of the table and that he wont need to bring in a quality player to help him win the league

Augie my good friend don't you fret one bit. Now is the time to sign if he's gonna extend, top of the league and one foot in the knock out stages in Europe. Yet the silence is deafening on the contract front. When it all goes tits up by May, not only won’t he sign but he will be in a situation where he can't sign.

For the first time in I don't know how many years an air of serenity has descended upon me. The end is nigh, THE END IS NIGH :barscarf:

Rodders me old mucker, you're becoming more of a self harmer than Wenger himself with all this false hope

There's Only One has already hinted that all of this will be sorted in January and if it isn't and we're still somewhere near the top of the league and into the Be All and End All last 16, there will be a Red Action march like no other and the Real Fans have Real Patience banner will grace the streets of Islington once more

Get yourself an "I Luv AW" T-shirt and come join me, g88ner and Armchair in the march of the Turncoat Wankers

it's not on the back of one result - to be fair I'd only changed to against for the first time earlier this year. i always thought there was a bigger picture and that we would have a bit of a relative poor run for a number of years while we got our financial house in order but that support was predicated on him spending the money once we had it - when it appeared we were going to do nothing then i flip flopped but whether by plan or good fortune he got Ozil and has other players humming and we are going well so Im back in his corner. the club is going as well as it has for a number of years so unlike some im actually enjoying it - the good news for a lot on this forum is santa is coming soon so that's someone else to boo

My view... If we win the league or place a close 2nd or 3rd and buy a decent striker in January I'd give him another year, if he fails to buy a striker and we fuck it up, he's negligent going on arrogant and ignorant to our obvious frailities and he should go!

We play fantastic football at times, the best in the league when we want to, I hope Wenger has seen the light and it's the former scenario and not the latter!

Jeez Augie, that is a classic, "pick a position and be loyal..........but I would be willing to alter my position"

FFS, just doesnt make sense- have you been in football for 31 years or something :)
