Official World Cup Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cesc fabregas keeps sayin he needs to 'concentrate' on the world cup. Why does he keep saying this? He has not even started yet. He is behind busquets. He cannot even get a game when Iniesta is injured.

Anyone else feel that watching Spain was like watching us?

Nice football but too much "overplaying" and not enough penetration around edge of penalty area?

It's obvious what he means, isn't it?? :? :?

He's at the World Cup and doesn't want to talk about Arsenal, which is fair enough. He plays for a team that has a genuine chance of winning the thing, so why would he waste his time and energy talking about outside things when he's trying to impress the coach and get a game??? - after all, one thing I can guarantee is that if Cesc were to start talking about Arsenal to the media when he should be focused on Spain, Del Bosque will not be impressed, and rightly so.

I'm surprised you needed me to explain it to you though - it's common sense.

Is the French game being televised over there?

Mexico vs Uruguay is being shown here and South Africa v France is offered as a replay at 2am... :banghead:
