Hodgson was gone a week later. Sacked.

Further similar examples are witnessed when Barca fans boycotted games under Rexach, or when Inter fans had enough of Ranieri and attendances dropped.
Have you thought that if the above is true things at Arsenal are not that bad and the likes of you (and me for that matter) might actually be wrong  If attendances arent dropping like other clubs maybe we're doing well after all :?

Flash. I would except that...
Just look how much an ST costs.
Look at what they said when we moved grounds.
Look at our wage bill.
Look at our cash reserves.
Look at our history.

Then tell me we are wrong?

Because our support has been infiltrated by mindless sheep, doesn't make us wrong.

Answer me this: were those Blackburn fans the media pilloried all wrong?

Was that majority in Waco, Texas, right?

That minority who thought it was a good idea to replace CL winning Frank Rijkaard with Guardiola, were they wrong?

The question I have though, is if 10-15 thousand season tciket holders boycott a game at the grove will that send the same message ? Do you believe that the club wont give a shit if that happens cos they already have our money ? You and a few others have argued that not renewing season tickets is the way to go but surely there are enough tourist/jcl fans ready to take up those tickets so how will that teach the club any lesson ? :? Were those scousers that stopped attending under hodgson, season ticket holders or just casual supporters cos as you can see it does make a difference ? If our club would be able to sell those tickets to casual supporters at the grove then they would not miss a beat but maybe seeing 10-15 thousand empty seats at the matches, especially the televised one's, would draw extra focus and attention to our anger and frustration ? Sometimes the obvious answer isnt the correct one and for me this isnt as black and white as you seem to think

i think that depends largely how long you've been a fan AND how bothered you are about the high ticket prices.

I think that any Liverpool, Everton, Villa or Newcastle fan would be overjoyed to be third this year and getting to watch ECL football next year.

would they trade their cheaper tickets for ECL qualification every year - probably.

those of us who didn't support the club until '89 or later, probably forget that the success of '71 excepted, those four have been more historically our rivals than Man U or City or Chelsea.

  baba, enough with the childish insults and patronising of people who were fooling around with your mum back when you were still sucking her tits

I thought you had to be a member to get away tickets anyway- unless your mythical mate gives you them

liverpool is an entirely different club, firstly, their revenue is a lot lower anyway, they don't get the same influx of tourists. you can call what your doing an economic boycott, it's not going to be heard by anyone at the club, they don't care about you.

And don't call me sheep, I haven't been to the bowl since nov 2011 (the man city game) and I don't plan on going back. Unfortunatley I don't have respect for anyone who would apparently abuse wenger during a NLD, it's not how to do things. I have too much self respect to sink to that level, you think thats the best way to be heard

We as supporters are irrelevant.

Things will only change if we don't make the Champions League. Season Ticket sales and attendance at games is an irrelevance. Think about it. Champions League qualification makes you £40m. Sales of Club Level seats and boxes allows the Club to break even. In fact normal season tickets are only additional profit on top. This was the business case for moving to the Emirates. If we don't make Champions League box sales and Club Level seat sales wil drop off as this is largely made up of Corporates. On top of all that marketing deals and sponsorship will decline in value as who wants to sponsor a Europa League side?? This triple whammy will make the Club sit up and make changes. We are irrelevant. Champions League is what it is all about.

Jonas Gutierrez has been seen in the gents toilets in Finsbury Park. Witnesses heard him shouting "Yes! Up the Arsenal!"

couldn't help it...

I just find the aggressive and accusing finger pointing a bit rich from someone whose "protest" is so passive to the point it's invisible to the club.

Yes, if everyone did the same, then change would follow, but in the real world, it's a tactic that may take years - if not decades - to achieve its aim.

At least Martin had a petition!

Mate. I just wanna expose your imbecility one final time

'According to our players Maoruane is smart'

Uh huh.

And according to Charles Manson, Jack the Ripper was 'moderate and restrained'.

You absolute joker

YOu have neither the brains, nor the brawn. Hush up please.

I will let you pretend that the school bell has gone and you actually managed to buy a discounted brain cell from Asda.

Babatunde wrote:That is what is called an economic boycott I believe. There's no feeble excuse that 'Oooh but I will lose my place in the ST queue and waited years to get one'. Sorry. So like I said, I won't sit here, bitch but keep paying my monies.

I have always said that with this board and manager the best thing to do is to hit them in the pocket, because that is where it will hurt them most. Marches like the black scarf protest and spineless joke organizations like the AST (LOL) have shown they are about as effective as a marshmallow toilet brush.

It is economic means and that is what I do.
That's very middle class of you

And that's fair enough in it's own little way.

Many fans, including Steveo, have taken on a similar boycott, and I have no issue with that whatsoever. This season, I've been to a lot less games than last season as I was disillusioned with the club, so I voted with my feet as well, and that was my own little personal boycott.

My dad does a similar personal boycott of gillette products as they use to test on animals. They'll never know they've lost his business, and they'll carry on regardless, but to my dad, it's a moral victory. And you're doing the same. 8)

The club won't notice your silent protest, but you'll know - and that's important. A personal moral victory. I can respect that. 8)

But considering your posts on this forum, I'm a little surprised you don't have an appetite for a more forceful protest and are quite happy to limit your protest to something so passive  After all, you're very direct and aggressive on here, so I wrongly assumed you'd be up for much more direct/in-your face action against the board/manager.

But you're doing your little bit, and that's the main thing. Well done. 8)
I have said this thousands of times, and perhaps I over-estimated your intelligence, but I am constantly amazed at how certain individuals think they can convey a preemptive psychological evaluation based on...errrrm....a faceless online forum.

You say your dad's protest with Gillette is 'irrelevant'? Well I am sorry but your ignorance isn't an excuse to distort facts. Do you know that ever since the Washington based animal rights group highlighted Gillette's cruelty to animals back in 1986 (the rights group is called ARK II look it up), that Gillette were forced to restructure their whole animal testing methods? And start a new department exclusively dedicated to ethical standards? Is that not a massive change? Oh no, it's a phyrric 'moral victory'.

Perhaps though, your attitude of 'oh there's nothing you can do about it' is one that the animal rights group shoulda taken eh? I mean after all...who can take on any corporate behemoth hmmm? Pffft.... :rubchin:

I repeat: if you think you can use a faceless online football forum, populated with sexually frustrated teenagers posing as savants (hi Henry Norris), and subsequently evaluate an individual's persona, then I'll tell you what, carry on.

But like I said. Please do not invent facts to justify your desire to buy into Wengerland.

Your Gillette example is completely false. I think you will also find that the negative press Gillette got for animal testing, caused a ripple effect and forced them into changing their practices.

But hey.

'There's nothing we can do about it. So Ivan, please sign me up for another overpriced season ticket, oh and whilst I am standing here in the Armoury, please get me five Alex Song keyrings, a Gervinho replica kit and a 125th year anniversary mug.'

If you're gonna condascend, make sure you know your facts son.
