He gave us fucking everything he had during his years with us. During the end of his Arsenal career maybe he just saw that we're gonna win fuck all and gave up and made his mind about leaving. Who knows. I wouldn't give a shit myself if there is no progress anywhere to be seen and the manager is a total wanker and a tool.Riotof91 wrote:Precisely why he left us in the first place & doesn't suit us now. We are not winners, we are geared towards maintaining mediocrity. And what makes you think Cesc would be playing like that under our passive loser manager anyway? He was a lazy cvnt at the end of his Arsenal career, let's not forget & mythologize.augie wrote:Forget about cesc's assist for their 2nd goal today, and instead look at the work-rate and intensity he brought to their midfield today cos I would suggest that he won more tackles than our midfielders combined![]()
As I argued at the time, cesc knows our league and knows how to succeed in these games plus he is a guy that is driven by the will to win (a rare thing in such a money infested sport
). Ozil and cazorla together are not fit to tie cesc's boots and re-signing him should have been a no brainer for anyone that has watched football for 30 days, much less to those that have worked in football for 30 years

That being said, a quality physical DM and a manager that can motivate and tactically prepare his team, is the reason that we continue to lose these games so not signing cesc wasn't the reason for this defeat

Fuck me, our fans don't half make us look like a bunch of small time twats with behaviour like this. Can any player ever leave Arsenal again & not be called a traitor, wanker, *word censored* etc....? How about looking at the bigger picture & questioning why Cesc or any number of other players would want to leave?

Nothing wrong with that, any player who plays against a former club will receive some sort of stick - Henry got booed when he came to The Emirates for Barca!. Besides, there was nothing overly pernicious in that, just the standard "wanker" and "prick" jibes.Dan_85 wrote:http://terracelifenews.com/video-of-fab ... rd-bridge/

Also, it seems as if Fabregas sought to join Chelsea from the get go, in which case he deserves every insult hurled his direction.

Anyone who hugs John Terry disserved a degree of booing
Broke my heart to see it though.
Biggest mistake of the season, Lee Dixon last night commented that he couldnt understand the reason why he didnt return.
Must be Sir Chips fault

I agree with both views here - yes Fabregas should get abuse for joining Chelsea. It makes him no better than Nasri or RVP.
similarly I agree with Dan we do need to focus on why those 3 players chose to leave Arsenal and join the clubs they did. It is not just for the money - Arsenal actually still pay pretty well, it is probably more the fact that they want to win something and know that can't be achieved at Arsenal.

Perhaps they saw the Emperor's new clothes ? No tactics, no shape to the team. no desire, bunch of lightweights all over the park. Sadly each of those 3 moves have been vindicated.Gunner Rob wrote:VAVAVOOM 14 wrote:Nothing wrong with that, any player who plays against a former club will receive some sort of stick - Henry got booed when he came to The Emirates for Barca!. Re: [POLL] Should we buy back Cesc Fabregas?
it doesnt matter if cesc "sought to join chelsea" or w/e the rumor is. the fact is our lord savior, the specialist, had the opportunity to buy him with the buyback clause and chose to let him join a title contender instead...and quoted as saying we have ozil and dont need fabregas, when in fact they dont play even close to the same position and ozil is not living up to his hype anyways.
jose is showing barca where fabregas should have been playing for them, deeper in midfield. because he does work hard and loves a tackle, plus his vision is 2nd to none.

I(still) hate seeing him in the chavscum colours - BUt - Had wenker made a proper offer he would now be playing for us....Maureen must have thought Crimbo had come early when the inept wenker didn't take up the offer to buy him...
Given the choice between Ozil and Fabregas - I would go with the latter all day long - yes they play different roles - But considering Ozil cost much more than what Fabregas did - I know who got the best player and the best deal.
Fabregas was the missing piece in maureen's plans - he will ensure they win the title.
Sad and infuriating - but True.

AMEN! Agree 100%. Cesc could easily have played a disciplined, deeper lying role for us like he is for the Chavs. It's sickening to see him in a chavscum shirt.

I'm actually wondering today whether it isnt Cesc who we should have bought back but Alex Song...

Re: [POLL] Should we buy back Cesc Fabregas?
As much as I dislike the man Allardyce's attitude seems to work with Song. He doesn't indulge him , gives him a job to do and expects it to be done. Far different from the express yourself culture at our place where Song became lazy and too self indulgent.
