As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Just think Wenger wouldn't give legend Pires more than a one year deal yet this fucker has been at the club 7 years, 7 fucking years. It sums up the culture of the club.Let our best players go keep injury prone crocks.Rosicky was given a new contact last year he has started 0 league games this season.
Everyone except Wenger knew Diaby the would be injured this season its not fucking rocket science.
Rosicky and Diaby 10 league games between them £6m in wages(600k a game) and we are told Kroenke is a good businessman
Diaby is the new Vieira and Alfred Mugabo is the new Diaby so in fact we're better than the Invincibles and Wenger's assertion that this is his best squad of players ever isn't one of the most ridiculous statements ever to have been made in the history of human communication.

Cruciate Ligament Rupture until approx.: End of Dec. 2013
Contract until: 30.06.2015
I stand corrected, thought his contract ran out summer 2014.
Augie
It is merely my belief that it is ethically correct for the club to do all that they can to return injured players to fitness, to treat them as human beings rather than chattel.
Of course financially it makes sense if a player can be made fit enough to be sold.
Your point of whether the club are the best people to look after Diaby's health is a moot one!
I have mentioned a few times how I believe Osteopaths need to work in conjunction with the doctors, physios and fitness trainers to get the best results.
I would speculate on the results a contract termination could have on the other players in the squad; some might see it is a kick up the backside to shape up, others might resent the club for it?
Diaby is a poster boy for the Wenger years of failure. Everything that is wrong about the way Wenger manages players can be seen in Diaby.
And the player has the same level of regard for Arsenal fans that the manager has = wearing his Sp*rs shirt at home and telling the press about it. What a vagina!

The Times and Telegraph also think his contract runs out after next season, so summer of 2014. If it was 2014 it would be alot easier to pay off as his injury would mean he wouldn't be able to play for the most if not all of what is left.
A lot of people seem to be suggesting we pay him off and get rid as if it's a normal thing to do, yet I'm not sure I'm aware of a young player (with no intentions of retiring) being paid off by a club for being injured. Is there a precedent for this?
Also, as much of a *word censored* as Dan Smith undoubtedly is, let's not make Diaby out as an angel himself shall we? He did make his fair share of horrible tackles, as Gretar Steinsson would be willing to testify:
Luckily for Steinsson he emerged with his ankle intact. Perhaps he's made of sterner stuff than the man who dished out this 'tackle'? Hmmm...

If he doesn't want to there's nothing the club can do really. And if he's not willing to accept a mutual termination (for a reduced fee) tbh there's no benefit to the club of paying him off early.

I disagree - for starters it would finally draw a line under the guy's Arsenal career and we can move on without this bullshit theory that he will return to be a key player in the future It would, in theory at least, finally push the manager into getting in a replacement for that crucial DM position It really pisses me off that wenker constantly changes the line up to include this c**t every single time that he return from his latest long term injury - firstly it creates upheaval to our midfield when we need stability but secondly he isnt that good anyway
What's the betting that it will be one of Wenger's last wishes at the club that Diaby is given a new contract? Make no mistake, if Wenger is still here when Diaby gets 'fit', then he will reward him. Wenger will also not sign a replacement for 9 months as he won't want to 'kill' Diaby.
It's just another piece of incredibly bad management that both Diaby and Rosicky are still at the club. Rosicky was constantly Injured for the last two seasons at Dortmund before coming here and STILL he gets contract extensions???
This is just another reason why nothing will change under Wenger, everything is down to him, a truly apalling manager over the last 6 years.
