Not at all - give him another 3 trophyless years I say. Let him oversee the longest run without a trophy in the history of the club for all I care now - the guy's reputation will be well and truly trashed by then
The good ol' trophy argument. You should be better than that.
Actuallly I think he said 'Trophyless' :?

Ahhh sorry I forgot about you and the rest of the 'modern day' superfans. Who gives a shit about a trophy eh, as long as we keep qualifying for the Be All and End All.

If that floats your boat buddy then fair play to you, but give me a good old fashioned trophy over any of that 14 consecutive years qualification from the Group stage bollocks any day of the week.

The money isn't yours you know - it goes straight into our delightful owner's pocket. So why do you and the rest of the Wengerites get excited by last 16 pastings in the competition?

Wouldn't winning the FA Cup mean anything to you?

ISnt the longest trphyless time between the early 50s and 69 though, Gawd help us all if we get anywhere near that sort of run   :banghead:

I suppose between formation and 1930 is the longest though  , statistically many of us would be dead if we went that long :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:  ,

Winning a trophy would be great, but I'm not going to bang on about it every time we lose a match, or get knocked out of a cup competition. Supporting Arsenal is about more than trophies, so when I see these "fans" keep using the lack of trophies in the last few years as a reason to bash Arsenal/Wenger, I find it really pathetic. You mean to tell me if we won the Carling Cup final a couple of years ago, you'd be more tolerant of bad results in these future seasons? No, the league cup wouldn't mean a thing, so I think you're just using any easy stick to bash Arsenal with, and for me, that says a hell of a lot about you as a "fan". That's the problem with this forum, we've got a lot of passionate Arsenal fans, but very few who are able to look at Arsenal and what we're doing in the greater scheme of things. Hence, ridiculous posts wanting Wenger out every time we lose a game.
Firstly - in answer to your question, 'yes' if we'd won the League Cup I would be more tolerant. If that says a lot about me as a 'fan' then I'm glad I'm not one you want to associate with. Winning trophies have given me more happy memories of supporting Arsenal than any Group qualification from a misnamed European competition ever could do. Perhaps that's old fashioned, if so 'old fashioned' I am

I'd like to ask you what you mean by what "we're doing in the greater scheme of things". Is that just code for consistent qualification for the misnamed European trophy before inevitable defeat against one of its true contenders?

In the greater scheme of things we achieve a 4th place finish from Wenger year after year and get knocked out of the cups at roughly the same stage every year......so what are we doing 'in the greater scheme of things' ?

Have to say demun, that the "greater scheme of things" comment has me scratching my head too :? What is it exactly that you think that we are doing ? At the end of the day are we not meant to be a football club first and foremost and surely anybody who knows anything about footie will be able to see how much we have declined in recent years ?

Even if trophies clearly aren't that important to you, how does the whole "supporting Arsenal is about more than trophies" mean that we should stay off Wenger's back? Do you think the club would suddenly cease to exist if Wenger went?

all those stupid sheep who keep using the 'theres nobody to replace wenger' excuse please get a grip,in case you hadn't noticed last season city had mancini in charge but they soon found someone to replace him,so why the fuck do you idiots think there is nobdy to replace Wenker??thats like saying there nobody to replace david Cameron or Obama, ffs, life goes on.in the mean time be content with this illustrious baron spell which is making the Arsenal that I support unrecognisable.its your fault that we have the deluded idiot in charge,we could have someone better like . . . .. .erm pelligrini, but obviously a 6-3 dismantling today means fuck all as they stroll their way to the title while we hang on to the virtual trophy spot again and again blah blah blah, repeat for infinity :banghead:

Should also add, in response to demun's comment, that many on here have been calling for wenker to be sacked for a long time now and not just "every time we lose a game"
