The biggest positive for me so far and above all is that Emery has shown he's got the balls to drop the so called star players and won't take any bollocks from fancy dans like that Turkish/German bloke.

And the welsh contract rebel bloke - the treatment of ozil I am 100% in agreement with, but it seems to have completely masked the subbing and dropping of a guy that thinks that he is a world class player and irreplaceable, but dick has sent him a message saying otherwise 8)

Emery said he still isn't completely happy with Arsenal's high pressing game, and called for a more sustained effort against Cardiff.

"We want to do the high pressing against the opposition," he said. "After [the West Ham] game I analysed it with the players. We started the match well but then we lost the control for moments in the game. Then we finished the last 20 minutes really well. I want to continue that in the next match this Sunday against Cardiff, a different game, but just to continue our momentum."

What is strange is we actually did play a pressing game on occasion under Wenger and we famously fucked citeh and the Chavs with it. What has changed that they cannot now do it? Did they forget how ffs?

I'm happy for him to keep trying to get the pressing game right but the playing from the back has to change. Cech tipping it to the two CHs on the goal line at the edge of the box is a fucking recipe for disaster and it will cost us a game sooner rather than later. :| My fucking heart is in my mouth every time we do it.

Interestingly if Spuddy had written that last line it would have read "some bloke's cock is in my mouth every time we do it".

We had Sanchez. He was a one man pressing machine at times.

he was. he would be ideal in our new system.

we should ask Maureen for a swap.

Pressing game is partly about effort but it’s mainly about organisation. Because we don’t really have wingers we struggle to press the full backs as hard as we could and whilst the forwards might try hard to press then in midfield we have an inexperienced albeit enthusiastic and promising kid and a useless slug in Xhaka.

It will come if he sticks at it but it isn’t as simple as people trying harder. Our shape is still miles away from where it needs to be and where he wants it to be.

Jesus. I hate when players or owners come out with these ludicrous statements. It's embarrassing tbh.

Maybe if the wig mongering cùnt invested a few billion of his own cash in the transfer market we might have some chance of winning the CL. :censored:

You know me so well buddy.

Feo's best one was always "everyone will fear us now". He usually spewed that classic out after we had just beaten some already relegated pile of shite 6-0 at home....

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery speaking to Sky Sports: "I enjoyed the win. In the 90 minutes it was difficult. I think we controlled the match not every time but 70% on the pitch with possession, positioning, attacking movement. It's important to continue working.

"One goal for Lacazette, one for Aubameyang, but I think every other player worked well with commitment we want. We are happy for that and we are evolving."
he's still far from happy with them i think. its going to be an interesting season to see how/if we evolve.

he seems to think we can do much much better with largely just one or two new players in the starting XI.
