The Mail say #Arsenal have opened talks with Norwich over Emiliano Buendia as they look to head off competition from Aston Villa. https://t.co/jVdNMbRe6Z
There is an acceptance at Norwich that Buendia will leave & #Arsenal’s new director of football Richard Garlick seems determined to make the 24-year old their first signing of the summer. https://t.co/lknNN7ilbU
Discussions have escalated quickly with Norwich eager to avoid a transfer saga dragging on through the summer. The Carrow Road club anticipate offers of around £35m plus add-ons & #Arsenal know Villa have the financial muscle to compete.
Remind me why we left Highbury. It was to compete for transfer targets with teams like Aston Villa, wasn't it?
Yep. Thank you Dark Lord Wenger. Thank you Ivan the Lizard. Thank you Weird Wig-Peado Racoon Featured Parasite Thing. We now stand shoulder to shoulder with Europe's elite, Aston Villa.
Well, Europe's elite if it was 1982.
And if by "elite" you mean "one time winners that promptly never qualified for the competition ever again".
Arsenal are seriously considering signing Emiliano Buendia. The Arsenal board appreciate him & have started talks with the player’s agent again after opening talks in December. Buendia would accept a move & is now waiting. [@FabrizioRomano] #afc

The New Getafe.
He's Argentinian so more like a San Lorenzo or (dare I say it) an Arsenal de Sarandi.
My youngest told me that there is a rumour on social media that lyon have now cut their asking price for Aouar to between £25m-£30m in a bid to offset losses from not qualifying for next season's champions league - that is a deal we should be all over if there was any truth in it

Aouar had a poor season by all accounts culminating in him refusing to do some after match training because he was left out of the team against Reims.
Potential trouble maker or angling for a move? IDK.

I’d stick to Buendia and Bissouma. Settled in England. Understand the league. Done.

Playing bissouma with either partey or xhaka does not address the ongoing problem of a lack of creativity and scoring goals - imo we need an 8 to play alongside partey (or bissouma) to bring a bit more attacking ability to the team, and I see bissouma as another 6 (cdm) and as we have the third best defensive record already, I dont see the point in playing him in the 8
Arsenal and Leicester have been joined by Brighton in £15m Odsonne Edouard transfer race. Arsenal’s interest is understood to be dependent on whether Alexandre Lacazette stays or goes this summer. [@TomBarclay_]
I'd rather we took a punt on that Ivan Toney fella from Brentford.

He likes to play as an 8
Indeed he might, but he would be here to serve us and not the other way round, and personally I dont see him as either a scorer or creator of goals.
That being said, I would happily take him as the CDM if we got shot of partey and xhaka

The New Getafe.
I’ve seen a fair bit of Buendia in highlights of Norwich matches, and to be fair, he looks a very decent player, takes people on, plays some excellent passes and isn’t adverse to having a shot either - he doesn’t appear to be a lightweight easily knocked off the ball either, so as far as I am concerned ehe would be a very good
I am aware that this season was at championship level - but he still would walk into our first eleven in my opinion.

You're getting confused with Norfolk. We're quite normal here in West Suffolk.
