His chav contract expires tomorrow, so I expect we will find out then, but with the glaring deficiencies in other key areas and the cesc situation, I have to say the signing of Joe Cole will do little to ease my concerns for the coming season.

We have too many players for the same attacking positions.
True, but then they always seem to get injured as well! :banghead:

He'd be great at whipping crosses in for Bendtner, Van Persie and Chamakh to head in!

I have it on good authority that Joe Cole will be signing for somebody soon.....

I can't explain why really but I'm not really bothered if he comes or not. It's an addition to the squad but it doesn't address the obvious weaknesses in the team. Is another lightweight, injury prone midfielder really what we're after???

i really cant see it going through now for us. He has said he wants to play in a central role , and i cant see wenger letting him have that role. He is way above denislon , diaby, nasri, rosisky and song so i would love to see him in a central role with cesc.
Also he has signed Chamakh already that unkown frnech defender on the way and im sure he will buy a GK before the season starts. Thats the 2-3 players already.
I really hope he invests in the midfield as are current crop are not good enough at all.

I'ld discount the 2-3 players thing, and Wenger ha soften claimed that if a player of quality came up he'ld go for them. Cole perhaps fits into tht thinking.
