I agree with bendtners ego re the bullying of gourcuff and if ribery or anybody else are found guilty of this then they should be suspended from the national team for a minimum 12 months :x I said it before yesterday that if gourcuff has been targetted by some of the older players then it would have been very hard for him to relax and show what he is worth so maybe we should bear that in mind when discussing him as a potential replacement for cesc.

I have no doubt that domenach is a huge part of the french problem but I also see a lot of the english squad problems there where the players dont feel any responsibility for the shambles of the last 2 weeks  Gallas has a history of causing trouble wherever he has been and I have zero doubt that the *word censored* that is evra is bang smack in the middle of this fiasco too. I would also be wary of placing too much creedance on what henry says....here is a man pissed off at his demotion in the team and squad and who has also thrown the dummy out of the pram when things are not going his way. Once I heard the debacle of nasri sitting in somebody else's seat and getting rebuked for showing little respect to the older players then I knew that things were not going smoothly and a dust up was only around the corner. Keep us informed vince 8)

Must be a french thing. It's embarrassing. After a game of football, I always shake hands with the other players, even if they've been kicking lumps out of me all game.

Most interesting thing I have yet seen on the England team. Makes me think they should have not lived at altitude at all, and just played the games there...or lived at altitude for longer, but the club season only finished a few weeks ago.

It's just more excuses, i'll bet the Scotland manager pissed himself laughing when Sousness came out with that excuse after his poor showing.

I wished i'd have known about this excuse when i was in Tibet, when i came all over that birds leg before she even got her knickers off...

''yeah sorry about that darling it's the altitude..i'm not acclimatised yet'' :?

Thierry Henry will meet french president Sarkozy tomorrow. That's Henry who asked to meet him.
Wenger - France lacked unity and quality

Arsène Wenger believes a lack of unity and a dearth of quality were the major reasons for France's early exit from the World Cup.

Les Bleus have had a tournament to forget: the 2006 finalists collected one point from their opening fixture against Uruguay but then lost against Mexico before another defeat against South Africa left them rooted to the bottom of Group A.

Even more alarming have been France's off-field problems. Nicolas Anelka was sent home after arguing with coach Raymond Domenech and his team-mates subsequently boycotted a training session. Then captain Patrice Evra was left out of the team to face the hosts after another clash with Domenech.

Wenger is working for French TV in South Africa and, in an exclusive interview with Arsenal.com on Tuesday, he admitted that the France national team is in a sorry state.

"I think they had a difficulty with the Anelka problem and they made the wrong decision when they refused to practice. That is not acceptable," said Wenger.

"That created a huge turmoil in France and that is basically it."

France's passage to the World Cup was also tainted with controversy after Thierry Henry's infamous handball against the Republic of Ireland. But Wenger does not accept that Les Bleus are still mentally affected by what happened in that November play-off.

"I don't think their problems are linked with that," he said. "I think it's linked with the fact that there is no unity in the group, no unity between the manager and the players within the group.

"But even more than that there is not enough quality in the team."

No love lost between Arsene Wenger and the French National Team boss but the above statement doesn't fully rub Domenech's nose in it .
Imo opinion the buck stops with Domenech and his Glenn Hoddle School of management . The players lack of respect was always going to come to the surface with the intensity of a major tournament and then throw into the mixture ,players who have,or have had issues in the past + Ego's and Frances penchant for rebellion was there for all to see .

Amen. You just let the other side know they got to you by refusing. Domenech is an A-Grade geebag though, so it didn't surprise me.
