Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Cadena Ser and AS reporting that the Paulista deal is done. €20mil (£15.3mil) and we are going to triple his wages.
Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Just seen he's 24 as well, which is encouraging. Hopefully Arsenal have some info about the permit situation that makes them confident with this.
I agree on the price of Reid. I would question whether he would be 8 million though given he can walk out at the end of the season for nothing, and clubs would circle. West Ham aren't qualifying for Europe in my opinion, so I can't see him signing a contract. 4-5 would be the maximum. What price though rigsby ? It would appear that their price is considerably different than our's and that (yet again) seems to be the problem. If he was only gonna cost around the £4m mark then I would be on board with that, but if his price was £8m then I don't know if he would be worth that.

This Paulista dude can get a work permit right? We're not gonna spend 20m on someone who can't play for us until 2020 are we?

Wish we had silvinho playing left full for us now

Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Paulista isn't an international and isn't classed as a 'promising youngster' so a permit could be dodgy to say the least, wouldn't it just be so Arsenal to pay shit loads for someone we have to loan straight back to another European team for 2 years!!

Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Guardian reporting still a long way off with the Paulista deal. We've offered 6m, up to 10m with 'add ons', they want 20m (they are 6th in La Liga so chasing a CL spot), and the work permit situation will be tricky as he's never played at any level for Brazil.
Have to argue the 'exceptional talent', which back-relates to the amount being paid for him as well so under offering counts against.
Might just be an idea to buy a CB who has a EU passport....there are just a few about

Typical Arsenal policy

Have to say that I cannot understand why he cannot sign a european centre back so he doesnt have to fcuk about with work permits - we need a centre half urgently so surely all those scouts (that work night and day

I see where pubis is still working off his old "I'm not tapping up players but really I am" policy - publicly saying to the media that macmananum (sp
