THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger on a new #afc deal: "There's a point where you decide and a point where you make it public. You can take that sentence how you want."

I'm totally with Rodders on this and said it ages ago, I don't think Wonga will sign! I also totally agree with the timing, why not sign now when we are top and get lauded by all the media and sheep together?

Arsey Wonga's going :barscarf: :barscarf:
No he isn't, mate. He always takes his time with these things. Doesn't like it to distract him from the visionary work of winning the virtual trophy and pissing away the 2 winnable cups. :( :|

SteveO - if you can stick a "There's Only One" in here it won't count against your banning limit...
You are wrong my good friend!!

His previous deal was inked in August of 2010. Prior to that, he signed a three-year contract in September 2007. He usually has the paperwork signed and sealed before the end of November. The latest he has ever left it was in 2001, when the new deal was officially announced on 6 December.

January 17th 2014, contract.....what contract :barscarf:

A few Wengers but no other Arsenes. Bit like being called Cyril I think, old fashioned name. It means "masculine, inflexible and having crap taste in coats". Some of that isn't true.

A search of the directory for Arsene Wenger returns the message that none could be found

So I think we are now in a position beyond any reasonable doubt that there really is only.......
