Utd didn't know whether to stick or twist today but we played well in fairness.

A bit of heart and fight not to mention having no liabilities on the pitch. Maybe the boss took a little bit away from the Q & A.

We did play well but I think the gamhe highlighted the fact we need a world class centre forward.

Well done to the boys today, we really did want to win that game. United were nervous, more so than I expected, and I think had we actually oput a good delivery in the box we could have won that game. I liked us kicking Evra, showed some fight.

MOM was Song for me, the guy was excellent. United had no shots on target, and perhaps didn' attack as much, but he cleared up everything. I really do think he can ebcome that defensive lynchpin in a few years.

Plus I'ld like to draw peoples attention once again to Bendtner, guy came on and was sliding about with tackles and chasing back. I really think he's going to be huge next year.

Maybe the bloke walking off with about 15 to go waving at the crowd is the buck.

I agree he is showing more heart but it takes a lot more than that!

If Nicky trains on, is only 20 and improved hugely towards the end of the season both in terms of performance and attitude, he could be our little joker up the sleeve.

I just cannot see Bendtner getting the goals that will get us closer to Man Yoo let alone winning the title.

Yes he has improved but is he in the class of Torres or Drogba? No!

He will never be truly world class.

Thats a highly strange prediction Percy. Firstly given the amount of games he's played he's scored 16 goals, as I said on another thread thats more than most of these 'world class' strikers i.e. berbatov etc.

Plus he's 20, how good was Drogba at 20? infact how good was Drogba when he first came to Chelsea? Torres had never scored more than 20 goals in a season before he joined Liverpool. He's also often asked to play out wide which for a target man is a pretty big ask, yet he does it very well. He might miss a few, but that comes. His confidence will be up next year, especially if Adebayor is sold.

Maybe you'll be right, I dunno. But I think to write him off at a young age is slightly ludicrous.

Obviously not in their class at the moment but he aint that far behind in the goals-scoring charts. We'll know more in twelve mths time i reckon but appears to have the right attitude to learn and improve.

Can't hold his drink for shit tho.

I am not writing him off at all.

All I am saying is that he will never be truly world class in my opinion. The phrase world class is used too easily by some so maybe thats where the confusion is.

I simply cannot see him being comparable to say Torres now or Henry in his pomp.

Those type of players can make a huge difference and I simply do not see Bendtner having that kind of impact.

If I am wrong I gladly eat humble pie as if he scores the goals the closes the gap then I will be ecstatic!

Like you say, time will tell.

I was proud of the boys today, we played with a bit of fight.
Been a critic of Van persie in the past but i thought he was everywhere today.
Good result considering another pro Manure reffing performance.
Lets finish on a high next week then build in the summer.
The future is bright the future is red & White

A 100 percent improvement on the Chelsea game, team looked a lot more organised and commited and in truth we were the better team...I think most of us were expecting us to be truly turned over.

Looked a lot more organised in defence and think Song and Denilson had excelent games.

One thing is I wish we would stop playing one up front, there's nobody in the box when crosses come in and Robin VP isn't a lone striker, he's not strong enough to hold up the ball....Next season we should be playing with Van Persie and Eduardo/new striker (Santa Cruz?) up front I feel.

I agree mate.

We have played with one up front through necessity but I pray to god that it is not the future.
