MAN CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah I'm a bit worried too, just with it being Ade against his old club and all that.

Saw this article here about Man City being part of a Premier League 'mini-big four' with Spurs Villa and Everton.

Will that be sky's new marketing line,?? live the big four....and the and the not so big four!?

The again I won't be taking the p**s if City go and beat us on Saturday....

I've a feeling this might come down to a battle of the keepers - Given is on top form, Almunia is below par. I hope it isnt so but while they're not scoring many, they havent let any in so far and we haven't got Arshavin to create something out of nothing. We really need to take our chances and take them early.

Pal, what happened to your Coffy Brown signature pic? :? If I had a time machine I’d nip off back to the 70’s right now & roger Pam Grier to smithereens! David O’Leary? Not so much. :(

As for tomorrow, I’m also starting to get a bad feeling now. So much depends on Cesc’s availability & form/fitness. If he plays he may well find enough room between their midfield & defence to make the difference cos they don’t seem to have a natural, out-and-out DM - albeit Komapny may be back for them tomorrow.

But if Cesc’s out then with no Arshavin, Rosicky and Nasri & with Theo probably only fit enough to start on the bench we’re looking at Bendtner, Diaby & Eboue as the attacking 3 behind RVP! :( Where the fuck are we gonna find the creativity we’re gonna desperately need after C*ntbayor grabs his inevitable goal?! :banghead:

Agree with BT, it may come down to who scores first will go on to win the game - whether it ends up 1-0 or a hammering either way.

If we lose Cesc then I think we could well struggle, if he plays however I think we will win comfortably, as Citeh will play a very open game. Greedyballs however is a cert to get on the scoresheet.

Arshavina do not have relapse of a trauma of a groin

Yesterday attacking "Arsenal" and a Russian national team has passed medical examination in London, the correspondent "СЭ" Boris LEVIN informs.

Diagnosing was required to the football player not only concerning an anguish of a muscle of a groin, but also for studying of a condition of the right knee which also disturbed him last two weeks. Full results of inspection will be received today.

Andrey АРШАВИН, the captain of a Russian national team:

- No relapse of a trauma of a groin as have informed on Thursday many editions, at me is present. Moreover, the knee disturbs today much more, than a groin. There was a risk that after game in Cardiff such relapse is possible, but I have meaningly gone on it to help a national team. I consider, the risk has completely justified. Anything like would not aggravate, though results of scanning and research of pictures of a knee I learn only on Friday. And in English prime minister-league and League of champions I would pass the nearest matches in any case: optimum term of restoration at such trauma as at me, - 21 day, and it yet has not ended. I hope, I can return to a system to a match with "Wigan" which will take place on September, 19th.
