the stories are a lot different. flamini wasn't given a contract before because he was shit. do you want to give a new improved contract to eboué? i didn't think so.

but what if eboué suddenly becomes a brilliant player next season, in the last season of his contract? you'll think again, won't you? flamini was shite, and when he became worth it we offered him a contract. he wanted to go to sunny milan and now i hope he ends his carrer at a small club crying everyday because he left the arsenal. hleb can join him if he wants.

*word censored*. both of them.

Oh well, I put my thoughts across and many still think Flamini is a mercenary *word censored*, so never mind

I don't know... for the life of me, I just don't understand what is so wrong with ANY person, in any industry, trying their hardest for that company, honouring their contract and then looking at other job opportunities at the end of that contract. Just seems very reasonable behaviour to me :?

You're just wrong BG. Flaminin wasn't shit, just that he had little chance to show in central midfield because Gilberto was in front of him. Also, he put in more effort in his spell in the 2005-06 season than some of our current squad, including Eboue, have done in their careers so far.

Flamini was a free agent unlike them pair of c**ts Cashley and Greedy who were trying to negoiate moves while still under contract.Flamini had a choice of offers and choose Milan.Dont forget Wenger was willing to sell Flamini to Brum.

When a player lets his contract run out like Sol and he joins us we love them when it happens the other way we call the player a c**t.Hypocrites
it is the same, sol will for ever be hated by the heebs because of it, i for one have no time for any player who walks out on my club on a free transfer after already pocketing millions in wages so for me personally i say fuck £lamini and hope the never to see the mercenary bastard in an arsenal shirt ever again.

I also think that could work
Song, Flamini, Fabregas in mf would work, to be fair to Denilson, he is disposable in this team.

Flamini had one good season in mf but he is still a pro footballer, it is his livlyhood, if the club are slack with sorting out his contract when he wanted to stay then he had every right to do what was right for him, Owen Coyle summed it up perfectly, you move on or you get moved on.

I have mellowed on him leaving.

You have a selective memory BG.Was Flamini shit when he play left back on the run to the CL final?

Why do expect Flamini to be loyal. When after playing in all the games in the run up to the CL final he gets dropped for Cashley even though he was already in talks with Chelsea.Loyalty is a two way thing

What a *word censored* Wenger is for ftlly honouring his contract and leaving Grampus 8! *word censored*!
Then what a wanker considering we'd signed him (pre-contact agreement) he couldn't start for 2 weeks so still under a contract with them claiming all that money.
Absolute Tosser! :banghead:

Bang on the money donaldo

Flamini wasn't in the team because of Gilberto...like Song hadn't got a run in the side. Flamini played with distinction in 05-06, and like donaldo said, got shat on. We wanted to sell him to brum, he only started the season because gilb erto was playing international football/injured!....then everything came together for him. can't blame him for Wenegr not sorting contract out and leaving us short. After all, he let gilberto go and sold diarra, without replacing.

Flamini was within his rights to leave.

A very poor oversight on the part of Wenger.

He is the tough tackling 100% grit and determination midfielder that we need. Anyone in his position would have left (Undervalued, unappreciated, overlooked etc etc).

As usual Arsenal made a late poor offer to try to keep him and assumed that the player would comply.

He is quality and would give us the drive we need to seriously challenge for the the title.

Swallow your pride Mr Wenger and bring back EL Flamino.

I think people overate him here but calling him a c*nt for leaving? He hadn't been playing regularly for us till the last season, one of the biggest football clubs in the world wanted him so he left. We have benefited from players taking the step up with us by going on a free and most who come to Arsenal don't do so as fans. They may leave the club and be fond of it, looking out for results, having happy memories but players know Wenger will be shot of them if he wants them to go and that it is their own career.

If the story that he refused to play leftback after CL season is true, take issue with that. Not his leaving us

I really cannot see why we want Flamini back.

Song has proved more than a capable replacement and coming from Milan Flamini is going to want very high wages. Remember what he turned down from Arsenal?

Flamini had one good season after several seasons of not commanding a spot apart temporary left back.
