Realistically speaking yes, we're probably poorer than Barca right now. But can't we just celebrate how we fought back for a little while? Before we get into "I-told-you-we're-crap" mode?Bring Back Pires wrote: Don't know why I'm boring, as it's the first time since I started posting on this forum that I suggested we'd be turned over.
I still maintain that we're not good enough to go through. If my opinion offends you, then there's nothing I can do about it.
So don't come on here celebrating like we've just won the CL, as it's borderline pathetic.
Fuck off mate.....fuck you're boring & fuck you too. We showed balls to come back & also an admirable spirit to defend in the first half. We can win this match if we get on them like we did when Theo came in. I believe we will do it & if you don't feel we're not.......fuck youBring Back Pires wrote:Don't know why I'm boring, as it's the first time since I started posting on this forum that I suggested we'd be turned over.

A feq quick thoughts -
1. How as diaby left on all night ? Utter shit all night
2.Wenger gets raped tactically imo everytime he plays against a good manager - in the first half our players were all over the place and in my opinion wengers "fluid" formation was exploited by barca cos our players do not have defined positions or areas of the pitch and there was sooo many gaps for them to run into as a result.
3. Our injuries - I can totally understand why cesc was risked but I cannot understand how the decision was left to him
Managers manage so a decision like this should only be made by wenger and/or the medical staff. I also believe that leaving him on for the last 8 minutes or so was a scandalous decision considering he couldnt walk - they were down to 10 men too so why not take him off instead of serious risk of further damage ?
I also have to say that playing gallas was a poor decision too when you consider he hasnt played for so long
4. Almunia - made some very good saves in the 1st half and there can be no denying that but totally at fault for the first goal and, imo, shouldnt be beaten from that angle in the 2nd half either
I will also say that I thought that denilson did well when he came on tonight and theo did look as if he scared them shitless.
Overall we got out of jail but at least, for the fans travelling fans, it means that the tie is still alive

arshavin clearly thought "fuck playing in this match, we're getting rapped, i know, i'll fake an injury"
seemed fine when he was running off the pitch and down the tunnel, if he is fit on saturday it will be his fault cesc had to stay on after that pen
other than that great display against the best team in the world (first 20 minutes don't count
)
a nice own goal from mr henry next week to show how much he still loves us would be nice

Ok, i cant understand this negativity. We have just come back from 2 down to the best team in the world. A fully fit team, who if you listen to the media are untouchable.
Us on the other hand had lost 2 first teamers after 35 minutes. We are playing against the ref. We showed fight and were the better team in the last half hour, they could have even nicked a winner on a different day.
Also, why the hell is Almunia being slated? If it wasnt for him the 2nd leg would be a total waste of time.

We just look so naive against top class opposition
delighted we pulled off a miracle comeback, but christ that was a humiliating lesson for 60minutes

I've never seen Arsenal come close to that level before, and despite all their obvious talent, tactically they pissed all over us tonight in the way they closed us down and denied us space. Very impressive display!
Also, I think we've seen again tonight (as we did against ManUre and Chelsea) that our quality of football is NOT high enough to excuse the lack of respect we show for defending. Wenger needs to get a grip of it, and soon!
Anyway, hold your breath... the Nou Camp awaits......

Im amazed.....
at the amount of people on here posting when the game is on...ridiculous!
the amount of negativity from certain people, even before it had started, get behind your team!
First half an hour we were totally outplayed, no doubting that, but we survived, great goalkeeping and some top blocking, mainly from Song, also unlucky a couple of times, through Bendtner and Nasri
Second half was strange, they didnt really go at us but went 2-0 up fairly comfortably, and there was a bit of me that thought that was out lot
Credit to this team though....we battled back againt the best team in the World and are well in the tie
Diaby was awful, thats that out the way
Fabregas showed an awful lot of heart and fight tonight, great to see, first half it passed him by because he was struggling, but he played his part in the end!
Bendtner did fine, played two massive parts, his pass for Wlcott was inch perfect, and his headed knock down for the penalty was brilliant!
Denilson did really well when he came on, battled for everything and won and awful lot in midfield
Song was excellent again, had the odd moment where he was caught out, but again, thats the best team in the World we were playing!
Almunia kept us in it first half, simple as that, yes he was at fault for the first goal but he made about 6 great saves first half, good on him!
everyone else was absolutely fine, Clichy had a good game in particular, as did Nasri
Im so up for next week now, they have both centre halfs out and we will believe more after that ending! COME ON!!

Let's just enjoy the moment...........nobody but us gunners believed we could......after 60 minutes even I had my doubts....but our boys hung in and got a better result than what they deserved on the night.
I can't believe a goalkeeper can blow so HOT and then so COLD....FFS Almunia.
I actually told the missuse when Arshavin had to be substituted.......bring on Walcott....he'll run at them non stop, it will push them back a bit.
Alround some bad and some good from the game......We still in with a chance.
LET'S BELIEVE MY FELLOW GUNNERS!!!!!!!!

before the game all I wanted and hoped for was to be still be in the tie come the 2nd leg...after watching the team show some pride in the last 30 mins, and to come back from 2 down means I and another 4600+ can go to Barca with the belief we can win..... can't wait to get over there and take over their city!

I think we needed a win tonight to have any hope of progressing to the semi-finals. Therefore, 2-2 isn't good enough.
Im talking about now though. 2-2 is a lot better than 0-2 which looked like it could have been 0-4 at times.
