One last comment. Can't let that go unanswered.
YOU brought up all this shit with your whining. No one else did. YOU did. YOU couldn't accept that your every word is not precious. YOU made an issue of something that very few other adults would have a problem with. YOU are the one that posted extra pointless threads and YOU are the child that started this thread.
Seriously... GROW UP.

DB10GOONER wrote:Swale_Gooner1985 wrote:Why are you unnessecarily locking threads? people can see what you have done is pathetic and has caused problems, had you just left the thread open, which people were commenting on it would have been fine
If you didnt want to comment on it then just ignore it and dont be so pathetic!
Listen, and listen good. You REALLY need to get over this idea that every little thought you have deserves it's own thread. Ok?
As a mod on here I can't just ignore it. We have to read every thread and every post to make sure there is nothing that will close this place down. Having to read 4 threads of basically the same posts/theories/opinions in 4 different locations is unesseccary and adds to a tough enough job.
If I leave it open it goes up to 5 or 6 pages. Then some other clown posts on the other open thread and suddenly we have 2 thread or 4 threads and all running to 5 or 6 or 10 pages.
We also have to constantly check for people like you that abuse other members and ensure that abuse isn't racial or homophobic. You get away with more on here than you would on any other forum. If you do not like the way we mod this forum I suggest you try the "official" forum for a few weeks and see what you think of their modding style.
Stop whining like a schoolgirl and get over yourself. I simply cannot believe they let you teach... amazing.

I love you DB"y and would you have my babies?

Might as well chip in considering everyone else has
To DB10: You might wanna think about stepping down as a mod, mate, as you do seem to be getting some aggro by being a mod and by your own accounts the workload is heavy. Also, it might mean that you would contribute a lot more to the forum, which is always a good thing. So perhaps the best thing here is to just stop being a mod and go back to being a regular contributor, getting the trouble off your back, and pleasing a few others?
Regarding the locking of threads, i must admit that when you see a topic reach say 10 pages or so that was, for arguments sake, originally a Cesc transfer thread that has decended into a debate about us not having enough defenders, then it would seem that the best thing to do would be to start a new thread, as bigger threads by nature tend to go off topic, and can be a bit infuriating for someone who wished to post on the orignial topic.
So, in my opinion, the creation of new threads on topics that may have been covered before isn't necessarily always a bad thing. However, this is subject to exceptions though, as having 10 different threads on our new kit is a bit over the top.
Ultimately, it is a balance that is hard to reach and i believe that there isn't one set rule to go by, most of it will have to be done on a subjective level rather than an objective one, and take the decision on the merits of each thread at a time.

i can't agree with you, mm99. all threads tend to go off topic always, but it just requires a simple "back to the topic, i think that..." to get things back on track. i don't think making new topics would make things easier, as sometimes you want to quote or catch something that was said before, and that way it becomes a lot more complicated. for people who aren't logging for a while, it also becomes hard to understand how a discussion started, and things like that.

So, B.G. what do you really think of the new home kit???
